Song Da Eun appears to have an unhealthy obsession with a past relationship, as since the summer of 2022, she has continuously tried to make the rumored romantic connection between her and Jimin a hot topic on social media. Initially, this notorious actress only tried to hint at coincidences “casually,” but over time, she became more deliberate in her social media posts, even subtly referencing Jimin and criticizing ARMYs during live streams.

In August of this year, the actress took her actions to an extreme that enraged fans by posting a video featuring Jimin (from long ago) on Instagram, implying a relationship between them and creating confusion that they were still dating.

It wasn’t until Big Hit Music issued a statement saying, “The artist and the individual in question were once acquainted with mutual affection in the past, but that was several years ago, and they are not in a relationship at present” that the matter subsided. Netizens later discovered that she was attempting to exploit this past relationship to gain attention and return to showbiz after many years of inactivity—but failed.

Even after Jimin and his agency clarified the situation, it seems this actress was not willing to stop. Recently, Song has continued sharing suspicious videos and images on TikTok, which appear to be related to Jimin. 

Specifically, on the 16th, Song shared a post asking people to stop speculating and making random comments while watching her live stream. Along with this caption was a video showing a Christmas-decorated area outside an apartment. Netizens immediately noticed two Bearbricks included in the decorations because they looked identical to the pair seen during a recent live stream of Jimin.

Netizens began debating that, considering the high price of these toys, this actress, who has been unemployed for years, seemingly could not afford such decorations given her financial difficulties.

Then, she kept posting another photo which could direct netizens toward “thoughts related to Jimin.” The photo showed an apartment entrance that appeared the same as in the controversial video featuring Jimin in the elevator that she posted in August, indicating that she still lives at Nine One Hannam.

A netizen even added a photo allegedly showing Jimin dining with Song Da Eun at a restaurant in the 63 Building recently, further fueling public speculation.

From these hints, a wave of discussion spread across social media, and кσяєαn media began questioning whether the two still maintained a relationship. Some even criticized Jimin and defamed his reputation, despite HYBE’s previous statement.

However, ARMYs refused to let the story be distorted according to Song Da Eun’s narrative. They pointed out that there was evidence suggesting these were old videos, newly posted by her to stir up controversy.

The Bearbrick duo, Jack Skellington version—the animated character Jimin likes the most—was actually gifted to him by j-hope around 2020. During a live stream, Jimin mentioned: "I received it as a gift from Hoseokie hyung when we started living separately. I used to be afraid of it back then, so I kept it outside and said hi~ every time I left the house. But one time, it ѕтαятℓє∂ me when I got home after work, so I brought it inside.”

In the most recent live stream, the Bearbrick duo was seen placed in the living room, meaning they are no longer displayed outside, unlike in the video Song recently shared.

On the other hand, fans also noted that if Jimin had taken the pair outside for Christmas decorations this year, it wouldn’t have been hard for Song to secretly film them and post online to create a stir. However, if that were truly the case, Song Da Eun could even face legal consequences since the video contained someone else’s property. She could also be guilty of defamation for deliberately filming and sharing the video online, causing misunderstanding and damaging Jimin’s reputation.

This is not the first time Song Da Eun has portrayed herself as a victim while giving misleading hints that redirect public attention toward Jimin. The problem is that many people do not understand her deceitful nature, and upon seeing Big Hit Music’s statement, they may still think negatively about Jimin, even though the two have not had a romantic relationship for a long time.
