Today, Weverse has updated its new version which has many upgraded features. Some features received positive feedback from ARMYs while there are other shortcomings that need improvement.
Weverse this morning updated version 2.0 with a bunch of new features. This is a signal to start a gradual integration with the V-Live service after the acquisition of the V-Live division of the Naver portal site. This means that in the near future, artists and fans will not only communicate through existing photos and text, but will also be able to communicate in real-time video.
Starting with the introduction of 'Weverse Live', saw the gradual transition of V-live video streaming functionality to Weverse. It is predicted that by the end of this year, Weverse Live will completely replace the Vlive platform.
Not only that, the new Weverse has improved the user's convenience in reorganizing the user experience (UX / UI) and upgraded many other functions such as individual member tracking, "media section" with a lot of BTS content, uploading videos to the platform, etc.
In particular, Weverse's automatic language translation is also said to follow the original content, making it more convenient for users from many countries. The previous version of Weverse's auto-translation caused a lot of controversy when it incorrectly translated the members' posts in Korean. It makes ARMYs feel confused and confused every time BTS posts something or comments below ARMY's post.
In the past, many ARMYs had to wait for literal translations from ARMYs fluent in other languages. Or there are cases where ARMYs misunderstand the meaning of the translation or the translation is very troublesome. Now ARMYs can rest assured and understand what BTS posted more clearly
According to Choi Junwon, CEO of Weverse Company, introduced, "This newly updated Weverse is the first step in the gradual integration with VLIVE, laying the groundwork to grow into the biggest life of fandom platform in the world where every fan experience is possible."
However, there are still some points where users feel dissatisfied with the new update of this platform. For example, the new version does not have night/dark mode.
Not only that it is still complicated to find other users on the app and make connections. If you didn't use any tags (Weverse search function doesn’t let you search by user), you can't find the other's post. It’s so annoying!
But overall, after all, ARMYs still pay attention to the live feature on Weverse. This means that BTS members can live on this platform in the near future. So ARMYs can't wait to hear from any member's Weverse!
