In recent hours, ARMYs have had a lot of trouble when negative posts and comments aimed at RM. It comes after RM shared Frank Ocean's song "Bad Religion" and it was accused of ιиѕυℓтing religion.
Even as fans pointed out that there were many supporters of this long-awaited debut track, aside from RM, the comments and @ttacks continued. Not only RM, ARMY was @ttacked but even his friends were harαѕѕed by toxic individuals.
One of RM's friends also voiced a request to stop these extreme actions. The situation is now getting worse:
Currently on Twitter, RM is embroiled in a fierce controversy because of the song Bad Religion on the album Channel Orange, released in 2012 by Frank Ocean. The incident started when many people pointed out that the song RM shared was anti-Muslim.
In particular, some people allege that the content of Bad Religion contains many verses that reflect a negative view of Islam's opposition to same-sєх love causing controversy in the Muslim community. Not only that, these people think that RM used to be an ambαѕѕador of UNICEF and spread this song as unacceptable behavior.
Immediately, a series of criticisms and defamatory news began to spread on SNS. This makes ARMYs unable to stand still and watch RM being accused unreasonably.
ARMYs quickly cited the articles of the author, music critics as well as Billboard when αѕѕerting that Bad Religion is not anti-Muslim, but just a love message from a personal perspective. Not only that, the fact that RM shared the song with no negative connotation is not soмєтнing to be criticized.
Even ARMYs also pointed out that there are many famous Kpop artists who support this song. For example, Big Bang's leader G-Dragon suggested this song to fans in 2012 while SuperM Ten also suggested this song in his playlist.
Not only that, there are many artists who have attended concerts and supported Frank Ocean's works. BLACKPINK Jennie even added Frank Ocean's Godspeed to her favorite playlist. The members of BLACKPINK also came to cheer and listen to Frank Ocean's music when he performed at Coachella.
Many people ask themselves why these artists were able to share the song and not be criticized while 10 years later, RM shared it again received such confusing criticisms. ARMYs also pointed out that it's possible that antis, akgaes and toxic individuals took advantage of the chaotic situation as well as some people's lack of understanding of the song to intentionally sabotage RM's honor.
Meanwhile, not only RM is seriously affected by this incident, but the people around him are also suffering from impolite people. One of RM's friends and collaborators in music - John Eun recently spoke up to defend himself in this situation.
Specifically, John Eun pointed out that he is receiving threats, ιиѕυℓтs, and even harαѕѕment in his Instagram DM because of his friendship with RM. This is absurd and terrible because RM and he are both at fault in the baseless accusations. But he also surprised ARMYs by revealing that not only him but many of RM's friends are having similar problems with toxic individuals.
