The current BTS members all have their own plans for their enlistment. Ever since Jin announced that he would be the first in the group to enlist and the other members were also preparing for this, ARMYs have always hoped that they would return soon.
In the same announcement, the group hopes to reunite in 2025. This also means that BTS will do their best to minimize the space of time stopping group activities and ARMYs are really touched by their plans.
With that, there are a lot of special things in 2025 that RM and SUGA mentioned in the first episode of Suchwita. ARMYs will probably look forward to this happy year:
Today is the first episode of SUGA - Suchwita's talk show on BANGTAN TV. And the special guest is none other than BTS's newest solo artist - RM. The two spent time talking as friends as well as sharing about the group's future.
Just like Big Hit's previous announcement, the members are excited for the group's return in 2025. They also plan to use the time between BTS' enlistment to 2025 wisely and reduce their absence from ARMYs' lives as much as possible.
When thinking about 2025, RM admits that he doesn't know what will happen, other than his hair will grow back: "Wow, that’s in a long time. In 2025 I will have completed my military service and will have started to grow my hair again". However, RM believes he can "prepare some songs" for BTS to perform once they've all completed their military service.
Although RM can't confirm anything as he “not there yet": "I don’t know what’s going to happen in 2025, but if I come back to work early, I was thinking that maybe… I could prepare some songs before the other members came for BTS or for me. But I am not sure because I'm not there yet"
SUGA agrees that it's hard to talk confidently about what's going to happen in the future because thinking ahead can lead to anxiety when preparing for the unknown. He said: "I think this is why it’s hard for us to talk about what we’re going to do in 2025. We’re always like that. The moment we say, “There’s no way that’s going to happen,” we start worrying."
But when it comes to their hopes for 2025, RM and SUGA agree that they want BTS to be on stage again. RM emphasizes that: "No matter what happens, in 2025, if we all come back together and promote as a full group, that’d be great… really. I think that’s ideal."
In particular, RM also recalled a memorable memory in their career that in 2025, one of BTS' most successful albums "The Most Beautiful Moment In Life" part 1 will turn 10 years old. It was released on April 29, 2025.
This is an indispensable album in the complete story of BTS and it has a very special meaning. Not only that, just like the name implies, when BTS returns in 2025 it will also be a life's best moment again.
RM then also opened up about the idea of producing something special to celebrate this. He told: "We talked about how 2025 would be the year most of our members complete their service, and it’s also the monumental year The Most Beautiful Moment in Life would turn ten years old, so then we’re probably going to be able to do something. I think we’re going to try and keep that promise."
In addition to looking forward to reuniting as idols, SUGA and RM also added some of their thoughts on when BTS meets again in 3 years. They mentioned a fact about the members' hair after serving in the army.
Specifically, RM said: "It probably will, someone’s going to have really short hair, some will have long hair."
