Specifically, during RM's live broadcast a few hours ago, when he talked and answered fans' questions, in the comments section there were many people complaining about him smoking. After seeing so many comments on this issue, RM expressed his attitude and it was supported by ARMYs.

Well, it is a fact that we have reiterated many times that smoking is not inherently ilℓєgαℓ or a violation of ethical standards. Even if they are famous idols like RM, they are still allowed to smoke in designated areas when they are old enough. Idols are also normal people and there are many famous Kpop idols who do it too, even publicly.
About a week ago, netizens started talking about RM smoking after he a̾c̾c̾i̾d̾e̾n̾tally posted a photo on Instagram. He shared a photo taken behind the scenes, standing with another man. While RM was holding a cigarette in his hand, his friend was also spotted smoking a cigarette, it seemed like they both smoked a cigarette together.
Even though RM updated, he immediately deleted the photo because he was probably worried about netizens' reaction. However, the photo was still spread out and the online community had mixed opinions about this. Meanwhile, fans said that even though it was a bad habit, he did not break the law or do anything unethical. The fact that he a̾c̾c̾i̾d̾e̾n̾tally posted it shows his openness and sharing soмєтнing that shows he is also a normal guy like everyone else.
But it seems like some other fans don't think so. So they continued this topic right under the comments section of his live broadcast a few hours ago. When RM sat down to talk to fans and respond to related comments, many fans left negative comments about him smoking. Some others advised him to give up smoking because it is harmful while others continued to "terrorize" him with a cigarette icon.
Afterwards, RM seemed to have noticed these comments and although he didn't mention them directly, it seemed like he was fed up with them. He was so upset that he asked fans to move on to other "more productive" topics. He suggested: "Guys please talk about fun things~ Guys please can we have some productive things! Guys cmon.."
In front of RM's reaction, many people realized how upset he felt by this tobacco-related controversy. Before RM, Jungkook was also someone who had to face such a situation after revealing that he smoked in Los Angeles. Obviously, that's just a very normal action for anyone but not for BTS.
