As fans know, just before BTS’s comeback stage at Gwanghwamun in late March, RM suffered an ankle injury during rehearsals. At the time, BigHit Music stated: “A medical diagnosis confirmed a sprain of the accessory navicular, a partial ligament tear, and a talus contusion (which includes ligament damage and inflammation). As advised by medical professionals, he must wear a cast and strictly limit movement for a minimum of two weeks to concentrate solely on his recovery.”
Following that, during several promotional events for ARIRANG—including the Gwanghwamun stage and performances in the United States—RM was seen appearing with his leg in a cast or moving with crutches. Even so, he occasionally tried to groove along to the music by swaying his upper body, moving his arms, or lightly stepping to the rhythm. Fortunately, his injury healed in time for BTS to officially begin their world tour, and he can now be considered fully recovered.

Nevertheless, discussions surrounding RM’s injury have continued to linger, especially the bittersweet and humorous moments from when he had to limit his choreography but remained intensely pαѕѕionate on stage and with fans. His “giving-it-his-all” spirit has since become the inspiration for numerous viral memes on social media.
Recently, a humorous video related to his leg injury—which had already gone viral weeks earlier—υиєχρє¢тє∂ly caught the rapper’s attention. The clip shows a man performing complex dance moves with crutches, accompanied by a caption comparing him to RM’s energetic performance at the Gwanghwamun concert, when he was wearing a cast due to his serious injury.
RM later liked the video and left a comment directly underneath, writing: “Clock it,” showing that he found the joke amusing.
What made the situation particularly noteworthy was that RM’s brief comment appeared directly above a much longer comment written weeks earlier by another fan. This person had criticized the original poster, arguing that making jokes about RM’s injury was insensitive, and speculated that the rapper might feel hurt if he happened to see the video.
The contrast between this fan’s serious speculation and RM’s actual reaction left many people amused. A post capturing this moment soon went viral across social media, garnering over one million views, as fans discussed how RM had effectively “clocked” the overinterpretation of his emotions.

One fan wrote: "Perfect example of the boys being way funnier than a lot of you that try to control everything n everyone all the time". Another also added: "Well…Namjoon plucked that petal from the high tree and threw it on the floor really quick". Even a fan excitedly exclaimed: "My God, Namjoon, you probably didn’t know this, but you gave us the best screenshot ever. From now on, whenever someone tries to make a big deal out of soмєтнing trivial or harmless, I’m going to use this screenshot.”
Others even saw it as a reminder that fans should sometimes relax and avoid overanalyzing the personal feelings of BTS members. They commented:
- This confirms to me that joon would find like 80% of armytwt humor absolutely hilarious
- If he didn't find it funny he wouldn't have interacted with it. Why'd she have to write a small paragraph on feelings she doesn't even know. Only Joonie knows his own feelings
- I hate these types of army they always think they know best for the members just for them to come out and prove them wrong everytime
- F*ck off dumb@ss!! Go bother somebody else than RM & all BTS members, aren't there not enough people on this planet to criticize than them?!!
If all these people used the same time to tell or do positive things, the world could be such a better place! But sadly, bad is easier
- 13 years into the game and fans still havent learnt to stop babying these grown men....
- Imagine the embarrαѕѕment he/she felt after seeing Namjoon's comment
- Who's gonna tell her that the members indeed want us to have a best friend like relationship and not a caretaker and patient type one
- Why do people feel the need to speak for idols??? Like do they forget they have a sense of humor too lmfao
- Namjoon next time: ARMYs you got no jams. I laughed way too hard at this. Jesus take the wheel.
