“Around April or May last year (2024), I had severe insomnia—to the point where I couldn’t sleep for 78 hours straight. I felt like a zombie. My mental state was unstable, so I went to see a psychiatrist and had to start taking sleeping pills. I would lie in bed for 3 to 4 hours, just staring at the ceiling, unable to sleep. I was тєяяιfιє∂ of nighttime. Every time I had a leave and came home, I’d just pαѕѕ out from exhaustion. The psychiatrist said it was because of the military environment and that things would gradually get better", he recounted.
During the 1 year and 2 months, RM had to see a psychologist and was treated with sleeping pills. Up to now, he still has to use some ∂яυgs and of course, they left side effects on him.
Fans suddenly realized how difficult military life is, especially in a border barracks with difficult conditions like Gangwon. That's why he often counts down when he's about to be discharged and looks so relieved after completing his military service.
RM's recent posts after "reintegrating" into the community have given fans a deeper understanding of his state of mind. He reposted a photo of himself celebrating his discharge with his saxophone and captioned it: "Mood".
