As fans know, starting on the 22nd, BTS traveled to the United States to promote their new album released a week earlier, ARIRANG. In addition to a live fan event with 1,000 lucky attendees organized by Spotify, BTS also reunited after a long time with renowned αмєяι¢αn comedian Jimmy Fallon on NBC’s talk show The Tonight Show on the 25th and 26th (local time).
Making their first full-group appearance in over five years since their last performance on the show, the members walked through the au∂ιєnce seats to the stage. Appearing in house slippers, the group shared, “In кσяєα, when we come home, we usually take off our shoes and wear slippers,” and even gifted a pair to Jimmy Fallon.
When Jimmy Fallon asked, "How did it feel when all seven of you reunited for the first time?" V shouted, "Finally!" RM shared, "Time felt like it stood still while in the military, and I can't believe nine months have already pαѕѕed since our discharge." Jin added, "It felt like meeting family—Family." Meanwhile, BTS also performed two tracks from their fifth studio album, the title track Swim and 2.0, on the circular stage of the Guggenheim Museum in New York.

As the show was pre-recorded, on the morning of the 26th, after completing their filming schedule for The Tonight Show, BTS was seen preparing to leave New York for their next schedule. Some local fans shared videos showing the members carrying handbags or backpacks, escorted by security as they got into vehicles departing from their hotel. The members looked stylish in trendy outfits and appeared relaxed.
However, the member who drew the most attention was RM, as fans noticed that he had to use crutches while moving around that day. Although the leader no longer had to wear a brace as he did in the early days after his injury, his use of crutches and slower-than-usual movement suggested that the injury might not be recovering well, causing concern among fans.

Notably, just 1–2 days earlier, fans had been celebrating the fact that RM no longer needed crutches while moving, speculating that his injury was recovering quickly. On the 23rd (U.S. time), he was seen moving lightly and even bouncing to the music at moments during the “SWIMSIDE” event...
In another video that circulated on the 24th, RM was also seen walking comfortably without crutches from the parking lot into the event venue alongside his manager and security staff, showing positive recovery progress...
However, according to the latest updates, it appears that RM’s leg injury has flared up again, leaving many fans heartbroken. Meanwhile, BTS still has a packed promotional schedule, along with a world tour set to begin in just over a week. Fans have expressed concern about the leader’s condition, saying:
- I thought his leg was healing just a few days ago… seeing him back on crutches now is really worrying. I hope he’s okay
- He was literally walking fine and even dancing a bit earlier this week. What happened? I’m so concerned about him
- This makes me so sad… it seemed like he was recovering well, but now it looks like it got worse again
- Please, RM, rest properly. Your health matters more than anything else
- I can’t believe his injury flared up again after showing such good progress… I really hope it’s nothing serious
- Seeing him move slowly with crutches again breaks my heart. I hope it doesn’t get any worse
- He looked so much better just days ago, I was so happy… now I’m just worried all over again
- I hope he’s not pushing himself too hard because of schedules. Please take care of your health. All of you BTS
- Praying for RM’s speedy recovery. I hope he can rest and come back stronger and fully healed
- It’s so frustrating to see his condition worsen after signs of improvement… please get well soon, RM
