At 7 p.m. on April 11, BTS held the second night of “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN GOYANG” (hereafter referred to as “BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’”) at the main stadium of the Goyang Sports Complex in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si. After wrapping up the first show under heavy rain on April 9, the group once again met 40,000 fans today under clear blue skies.
Although this was the second concert in a three-day series, the excitement from both BTS and their fans remained unchanged—if anything, it was even higher thanks to the favorable conditions. No longer affected by rain or low temperatures, the members were able to fully unleash their energy in the choreography without worrying about slipping, freely interact with fans at close range, and deliver complete performances enhanced by perfect sound and lighting, keeping the audience captivated throughout.

Among the most explosive moments of the night was the “stage-burning” performance by Jimin and RM. After a series of high-energy songs, feeling overheated, the two decided to take off their outer jackets, revealing sleeveless tops and their well-built physiques underneath. The moment instantly sent tens of thousands of ARMYs into a frenzy, making the atmosphere in Goyang feel seven times hotter.
Notably, it was also thanks to this moment that fans unexpectedly discovered RM’s new tattoo. Sharp-eyed fans noticed a small tattoo on the inner side of his upper right arm.

At first, due to the unclear view, there were many speculations about its full design, including guesses that it might be related to the BTS or ARMY logo. However, upon closer inspection, fans realized that it was actually the natural sign in music.

In music theory, the natural sign is a symbol used to cancel the effect of a sharp (#) or flat (♭), returning a note to its original pitch. For example, an F sharp (F♯) becomes a natural F when the symbol is applied; similarly, a B flat (B♭) returns to B. Based on this musical meaning, when used as a tattoo, the natural sign often represents returning to one’s true self, regaining balance, or starting over after changes in life.
As someone who has been connected to music for nearly 20 years and is known for his deep reflections on life and humanity, it is not surprising that BTS’s leader chose this tattoo. This is also RM’s third publicly known tattoo. His first was the number “7,” symbolizing his bond with the BTS members in 2022, and his second, revealed earlier this year, was the bass clef—a symbol often reflecting a deep passion for music, rhythm, and harmony.

While the meaning of the “7” tattoo is straightforward, the bass clef tattoo, much like the natural sign, carries a deeper symbolic value tied to music. In a musical composition, the bass clef often serves as the foundation, connecting layers and maintaining the stability of the overall sound structure. This leads many to associate it with RM himself in BTS—the one who connects the members and maintains balance within the group. Compared to the treble clef, which feels bright and prominent, the bass clef conveys a calmer, deeper, and more introspective tone—perfectly aligning with RM’s thinking style and artistic identity.
Witnessing RM reveal two new tattoos, fans excitedly commented, “I told you, once he got his first tattoo, there’s no way he would stop adding more.” Meanwhile, other fans also expressed admiration for their meanings and how well they reflect himself:
- Mr. "I don't like tattoos because they're permanent" seems to have found a new reality. But honestly, these tattoos are just 'too Namjoon' not to get. He truly has such a deep mind
- My little poet. That’s literally the most perfect tattoos for him. IM CRYING
