BTS has returned to Allegiant Stadium as part of their world tour to continue their sold-out concerts. The group held their first Las Vegas show on Saturday, followed by another performance on Sunday, before returning to the stage this Thursday and wrapping up the concert series with an additional show on Friday (local time). The atmosphere surrounding the shows has remained explosive, with tens of thousands of ARMYs filling the stadium every single night.
What makes this even more interesting is that the αмєяι¢αn Music Awards (AMAs) took place in between BTS’s Las Vegas concerts this time around — the very event where the group made history by sweeping three major awards, including the prestigious “Artist Of The Year.” Naturally, BTS’s victory at the AMAs quickly became one of the hottest discussion topics these days, and the members did not forget to bring that joy onto the stage to share with their fans.
Right from the opening of the concert, Jimin sent the entire stadium into a frenzy when he said: “We have soмєтнing to celebrate. ARMY got an award. We did it. We want to give it all back to you,” referring to their AMAs win as fans erupted into nonstop cheers.

At the end of the show, while chatting with fans, RM enthusiastically brought it up once again, shouting: “2026 the love of the αмєяι¢αn Music Awards goes tooooo ARMY!!!” while Jimin immediately added: “Congratulations!”. However, what drew even more attention was the behind-the-scenes story RM revealed for the very first time. It showed the incredible difference in the way the AMAs treated BTS during their first appearance compared to their most recent one.
According to RM, back in 2017 when BTS were still considered “newcomers” in the αмєяι¢αn market, the group did not receive much proper attention from the organizers. “Guys it's a beautiful night and we are making history together. felt like I don't know like kind of very strange feelings because it reminds me of 2017. 9 years ago when we first attended the AMAs. We had... we literally had no room so, we had to, like, fix our make up in the hallway. So when the stars maybe just pαѕѕed by we were like ‘Oh hey, I am sorry’,” RM recalled with a smile mixed with emotion.

But everything was completely different when BTS returned in 2026. “But last night we used the biggest room. And everyone - every legend, every staff they were so nice and kind to us.” He then pointed out the biggest reason behind this dramatic change: “And we know it’s because of you guys,” before directly thanking ARMY for always standing by the group throughout the years.
The moment quickly spread across social media. Many fans felt RM’s story perfectly reflected BTS’s incredible journey in the αмєяι¢αn market: from being “the group in the hallway” to becoming Artist Of The Year while occupying the biggest room at one of the three most prestigious music award shows in the United States. They were no longer outsiders — they had become the ones leading the game. This was not simply a story about dressing rooms or backstage treatment, but proof of BTS’s changing status within the global music industry.
And this transformation did not happen overnight. It took BTS nine years to earn absolute respect from the αмєяι¢αn music industry. More importantly, RM especially emphasized ARMY’s role in that journey: ARMY’s unwavering support became the strongest foundation that helped BTS break through the wall of prejudice within the αмєяι¢αn music industry. Once again, BTS showed how deeply they value ARMY’s companionship throughout their career, further strengthening the bond between the group and their fans.
Following RM’s heartfelt confession, many ARMYs also shared emotional reactions, including:
- Soмєтнing about Namjoon’s voice feels incredibly honest whenever he speaks from the heart, and it always makes me tear up
- Wow, the difference in how they were treated before compared to how they are treated now is striking. This is truly what they meant by, "Got ARMY right behind us when we say so."
- I cry bcs despite all their fame they still remember these simple нєαятвяєαкιиg things Ik they're bigger now but every time they grow big I cry for the past. It made them stronger, but they suffered so much because of discrimination. I'm just so proud of them tears in my eyes
- I teared up when I heard him say this live. I'm so proud of them. They have come a long way
- Im so happy I started crying they went through alot and only deserve the best
- What breaks my heart and heals it at the same time is how Namjoon never takes credit for their historical success. They went from bowing apologetically in a cramped hallway to owning the biggest room at the AMAs, yet his first instinct is to look at us and say, 'It’s all thanks to you.' ARMYs give BTS a room; they gave us a home. We're family always
- from getting ready in the hallway and being jostled by anyone who walked by to being given the biggest room and becoming the most anticipated appearance of the night oh i am so eternally proud of them
- Changing in the hall way. It's crazy that the same thing that happened to them in кσяєα when they started also happened to them in the USA when they started there.
- Those who do not know their past cannot make the best of their present and future they say and Bangtan never forgot it. All those hardships shaped them into the legends they are today. I'm so proud them especially Namjoon and consider myself lucky to witness their growth
- This made me tear up. You seven deserve all this love and happiness and support in this world baby and more
- Hearing Namjoon look back at their hardest days and immediately tie their growth to ARMY proves that our bond is unforgettable. BTS never allowed the industry to change who they are. They conquered Hollywood, but their hearts remain exactly where they started—with ARMY. I’ve never been prouder to walk this path with them
