RM Frankly Answers When Asked About His Thought Toward ARMYs Manipulating Billboard Charts

Ever since BTS leads the way in popularity, despite their achievements and love from fans around the world, the group also faces frequent negative accusations. Most recently, Jimin had not yet enjoyed the huge success of Like Crazy and his debut album when he was accused of manipulating the US music charts by a critic.

Faced with these ridiculous accusations, many fans have stood up to defend him and the achievements Jimin is creating. Not only fans, but BTS members including RM also expressed his pride in Jimin's good achievements. Not only that, RM also once gave his frank stance to protect fans as well as Jimin against accusations of chart manipulation.

With RM's arguments and frankness, ARMYs completely agreed and continuously spread his statement:

As all fans know, Jimin had a successful solo debut with his album FACE and song Like Crazy. When BTS was on a hiatus from group activities, Jimin released his first solo album and continued the historical achievements of BTS before.

He has broken many records with his albums and songs from topping various charts on Spotify and Oricon to becoming the first kσrєαn artist to reach #1 on Billboard. After his huge success, he received a lot of love around the world and pride from his bandmates.

Immediately after the top result of the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the BTS members immediately congratulated Jimin on Instagram as well as Weverse. However, a kσrєαn critic named Kim seems to go against the crowd and the joy of BTS and fans.

He expressed his displeasure with Jimin's performance and attributed Jimin's popularity and even fan purchases to him to get him to the top rather than the quality of his music and talent. his. Specifically, he wrote: "It is true that K-Pop has a large discrepancy between sales and streaming-radio numbers, and this is a glaring example of this. This (Billboard win) is a result of ‘chart manipulation’ that is attributed to K-Pop fandoms all over the world, in which there are only people who buy the music without anyone listening to it."

This isn't the first time BTS has been embroiled in accusations of cheating on the music charts following their ma̾s̾sive achievements that no other K-pop artist can match. Most notably, when Dynamite, Butter, and Permission To Dance were kept at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for weeks on end, ARMYs were accused of manipulating the music charts. They are said to have bought a bunch of songs and influenced the charts to keep BTS on top.

In an interview with Billboard Magazine, in response to repeated accusations that broke BTS and ARMYs' joy, RM did not hesitate to refute these. He stated: "It’s a fair question. But if there is a conversation inside Billboard about what being No. 1 should represent, then it’s up to them to change the rules and make streaming weigh more on the ranking. Slamming us or our fans for getting to No. 1 with physical sales and downloads, I don’t know if that’s right ... It just feels like we’re easy targets because we’re a boy band, a K-pop act, and we have this high fan loyalty.”

In addition to RM, the CEO of Bł₲ Ⱨł₮ Music also made a similar comment when BTS's outstanding achievements were surrounded by unsubstantiated accusations. He stated in an interview: "Wouldn’t it be nice if we actually had the ability to mastermind such a thing? I get that there are market developments [related to BTS] that are head-scratchers for some people. But I don’t believe the U.S. market is one that can be handily topped by downloads alone. We think the songs’ impact was shown in many ways, and we are proud of that achievement.".

ARMYs and many netizens completely agree with what RM mentioned. Probably because there's never been a K-pop group that's been able to achieve as big of a feat as Jimin and BTS did, they're always βοmβarded with outrageous accusations. Above all, this only shows that BTS has always maintained its King of Kpop status:

- Namjoon’s straightforward reply was so impressive. It’s ḧệäŕẗḅŕệäḳïńġ that they always have to face doubts about their achievements.

- And they're changing rules around depending on who's got an album out

- I still can't get over they had the nerve to ask him this.. But Namjoons response..

- Anytime I remember this interview, I get so mad that I feel like the veins in my brain will pop

- Leader said it best. D@MN THEY ARE SO THREATENED FR

- KIM NAMJOON knows the power we and he hold

- Billboard changing rules every time bts does smthg show how threatened they r!

- my вlσσd is bolling I'm genuinely so angry. @BTS_twt. I'm so sorry there hates to us is escalated to block us as much as they can. it's gonna be a great challenge to us to put you on 1 bb

- It makes me mad to remember that they asked THEE Kim Namjoon about that, thankfully our leader is hella smart and answered that with so much grace

- Music critic but didn't know how the new rules work

- So is he trying to say that it only made it to #1 'cause of ARMY, not that it's actually a good song? don't think we'd be pαssionate about it if the song sucked. They don't want to acknowledge that each member is great on their own, which makes them a powerful force as a team.
