However, the path to becoming the BTS as it is today was not easy. RM has previously confessed that there are moments when they feel intimidated by all the pressure they have to receive from their immense popularity and success.

BTS is considered as one of the most popular boy groups in Kpop right now. Their reputation even reaches far in the world and achieves achievements that are difficult for any other group to achieve.

However, as they become more famous, they also face many difficulties and challenges. But we can't possibly imagine what terrible burdens they had to bear. Only through RM's story can we see that becoming an idol is really not easy.

In a press conference, RM once shared his pressure as well as the members' pressure when becoming a celebrity. He even confessed that at his worst, he almost wanted to run away but in the end for the sake of his fans, he wished to return their love with the best he could. .

Specifically, RM said: "As you grow taller, your shadow gets longer. I think that also applies to when you grow higher in your career.

On some days, the spotlights scared me. I was even scared of the audience. I can’t see them, but they can see me so clearly. They can see every expression and actions that I make. That feeling grew as our success grew.

I became very scared, and I wanted to run away".

He also shows how humble they really are when he says that great weight comes with great success. BTS know they need to make trade-offs but they're incredibly grateful for all the love they've received and they're learning to balance things their way.

RM stated: "But I have more aspirations than fear. The energy I want to give to my fans is greater than my desire to run away. I feel the feeling [being scared] is something I’ll never grow out of, so I’m doing my best to live with it.

I’m learning to balance the pressure and responsibilities."

Perhaps without hearing what RM shared, few people will understand how expensive it is to become a celebrity. But luckily, all the members overcame them and learned to deal with popularity.
