RM Changes His Mind About Getting Married Because Of His Parents

After all, no one wants to be alone in this world, right? Even if you’re a celebrity, the CEO of a major company, or even a president, having a partner and a family by your side brings immense happiness and a meaningful source of life.

Therefore, the members of BTS in general—and RM in particular—have never given up the idea of one day having their own family, with a wife and children.

It might seem that BTS members have plenty of opportunities to date, even with ideal partners, given their looks, personality, abilities, and personal wealth. But no—they face the same challenges as many young people in South кσяєα today: getting married is not easy.

In a recent live broadcast, RM touched on this issue. When he reflected on the loneliness that comes with being an adult in his 30s, he understood why people marry in search of a lifelong partner and spoke about marriage.

He also expressed the concerns common to many young people today—that we can never know whether marriage will truly resolve such feelings, and that it often comes with pressure.

However, one thing keeps him holding onto a positive view of family life—and even influenced his decision regarding marriage: observing the love of his own parents. RM shared, “My parents went to school together from elementary school, dated for nine years, and lived just five minutes apart. Seeing my parents like that, I naturally thought that I’d get married too.”

He then shared his deeper thoughts on marriage: “If I get married too early, people might be sad. If I find the right person now, I’ll get married, but at this point, I might end up not getting married at all. I don’t know; there really isn’t a clear answer. When my parents were my age, they were already married and had a three-year-old child. Nowadays, that’s not so easy.”

This is also soмєтнing he mentioned in an episode of “Dictionary of Useless Knowledge”. He pointed out that people his age—born in the 1990s—often feel some skepticism about the institution of marriage. In recent years, the trend of staying single or choosing not to marry has gradually become more common in South кσяєα and other countries around the world.

In that same program, RM discussed his doubts about his own ability to marry and start a family. He used to believe that love would come naturally and by chance, but in recent years, thoughts of not getting married began creeping into his mind.

Specifically, RM shared: "Can such a thing happen in my life? Before, I thought it was a natural process, but a few years ago, I thought, 'Maybe I won't get married?'"

Combining this with what he said in the most recent live broadcast, it’s clear that his concerns are not related to finances or social status but are emotional in nature. He doubts whether he can find a truly compatible partner and is unsure whether a love can last a lifetime.

When he was younger, he hesitated to date out of fear of disappointing fans. As he grew older, living alone became a habit, which reduced his opportunities to meet the opposite ѕєχ, making it increasingly difficult to find love. This has led him to feel that the older he gets, the harder it will be to find an enduring love.

Listening to RM’s candid reflections, fans comforted him and also supported the idea that he should marry immediately if he finds the right partner. Fans also empathized with his sentiment that, as time pαѕѕes, marriage becomes more difficult and with the general skepticism about marriage among young people today:

- I totally get him, all my friends have started dating and I feel lonely since but still I don't feel like dating too.. marriage and relationship doesn't guarantee happiness.

- Oh Joon... With your beautiful heart? You'll find a wonderful partner who'll cherish you

- I remember one of his line: Everyone wants to be alone but no one wants to be lonely

- do what your heart say joonie....don't stress out thinking about others...what you need to prioritize is yourself my love...no matter what happens I will always be there for you....I want you to be happy

- See this is why i love this man. He always speaks whatever that i have in my mind & makes me feel validated

- That means Namjoon’s parents were his first love, his youth, and a real-life fairytale all at once. Never lose faith in love!

- I love how openly he talks about marriage with fans. Yeah, it’s about time he thinks about this too—most of us ARMYs are already getting married and having kids!

- I feel him so much, I’m far more younger then him, but I’m at that age as a woman where I’m constantly being asked if I have a partner :(((( it does get lonely at some point

- I can relate, at first it's hard but getting used to it for being lonely. At the age of 26 people are getting married early and having kids. This is such a pressure. I just enjoy myself, I need to explore more things. Rather think about it.

- His parents are not even highschool sweethearts bruh they're also neighbors sweethearts

- he's so real for this. It's really scary how for some even if we live surrounded by people we feel alone, i used to feel that way, but not anymore. It all depends on how you see life so I αѕѕure you that the feeling can go!! heals your mind, stay healthy and you can go ahead
