Being harαѕѕed by fans camping outside their hotels during their world tour has now become a recurring problem for BTS. In July this year, V spoke up on Weverse, saying, "We would appreciate it if you could refrain from coming all the way to our hotel", following repeated incidents of crowds gathering and causing disturbances outside the group’s accommodation during the European leg of their tour.
Just three months after V’s plea, BTS once again found themselves struggling with the same issue during their stop in Lima, Peru. The noise from the crowds outside was so loud that it carried straight into their rooms, leaving both the members and staff unable to get some sleep. The situation also risked making BTS a source of disturbance for other guests staying at the hotel, prompting leader RM to speak out directly and earnestly ask people to stop gathering outside.

Despite RM’s plea and the local authorities’ enhanced security measures, the crowds not only continued to gather but also pushed the situation far beyond the boundaries of an ordinary invasion of privacy. A recent update from a member of BTS’ crew has further stirred public outrage.
Specifically, a Taiwanese backup dancer accompanying BTS on the South αмєяι¢αn leg of their tour, who is currently staying at the same hotel as the group in Lima during their three-night concert run, shared a noteworthy message on Instagram Story. “And stop sending me photos of the hotel. No one's going to congratulate you for that; what you're doing is not soмєтнing to be proud of. Just give up!” the dancer wrote.

The post quickly spread throughout the fan community, leaving many fans ѕнσ¢кed by how far the harαѕѕment had escalated. One fan exclaimed: "It's so embarrαѕѕing and sad bruh they ain't getting enough rest. Can people just go home and let them rest including other people who are staying in the same hotel. This is getting out of hand. Does those people even have hintch of humanity".
Other fans also expressed their anger in response to the news, commenting: "This is f*cked up. No one can rest", "At this point they should ask ρσℓι¢є to take strict action or cancel the shows!!", "This is seriously getting out hand. The level of disrespect is absolutely disgusting", "The worst part is that they aren't even ARMYs; they're random people who just want to make money from TikTok livestreams", "The harαѕѕment they're suffering isn't normal. With this message from the dancer, I wouldn't be surprised if BTS ends up hating the country", "What a shame with these stupid people",...
Notably, even before this Story was posted, reports had emerged that thousands of people were still gathering around the hotel where BTS were staying, despite RM’s message and Lima’s mayor announcing increased security to protect the group. While part of the crowd had gathered for a drone show held nearby to welcome BTS, many people remained even after the event had ended, continuing to scream, cause disturbances in the streets, and even shine laser beams at the windows of the rooms where BTS were resting.
The harαѕѕment now has not only continued but has also taken on another form: spamming the social media accounts of people working alongside the group. In the minds of these individuals, tracking down hotel information, taking photos to show off that they have been there, or getting close to artists and their crew in private spaces is often treated as some kind of “achievement” to brag about. This toxic mindset is difficult for any reasonable person to comprehend.
When even a direct plea from RM is met with such disregard, the question remains: how much further will these people go before they finally stop?
