When it comes to the member who has participated in the most variety shows in BTS, Jin is definitely the winner. Especially since his discharge from the military, Jin has shown many interesting sides of himself through these types of programs.
From his self-produced Run Jin to his participation in Half-Star Hotel in Lost Island, Handsome Guys on Sunday, and most recently, Netflix's upcoming variety show 'Kian's Bizarre B&B'.
On this day, fans can't help but get excited about the first scenes of 'Kian's Bizarre B&B' starring famous webtoon artist and entertainer Kian84 and world superstar Jin. The first episode of the show aired on April 8, showing their first glimpse of incredible chemistry.
In this variety show, Kian84 plays the role of a guesthouse owner who is new to the hotel business. Jin plays the role of a "multi-talented employee" and a spiritual pillar while actress Ji Ye Eun plays a diligent employee. The trio will constantly face funny and sad situations and their handling is also υиєχρє¢тє∂.
In particular, this program is also introduced as a place where celebrities prove that entertainment is a battle of physical strength. There are many interesting but of course difficult challenges given in the context of them living with the people in the Ulleungdo sea area.
That is why before filming for Kian B&B, PD Lee was very worried about whether Jin could adapt well to the hard life on the island during many days of filming. However, PD Lee had to re-evaluate the physical and mental strength of the BTS superstar right after witnessing his sincere participation.
"The most challenging part was the thought of having to sleep outside while hanging from a bed. If it was me I'd have been very fяιgнтєиє∂. Since we invited the superstar as our cast, I was worried he might say ‘I can’t do this’ or what if he ends up leaving because the life in the Ulleungdo guesthouse was too tough.
But once filming started, I was marveled to see that Jin actually slept the best without waking up in the middle. It made me realize just how we have so many different type of people and was reminded ‘ He's an incredible superstar.’", the director praised Jin.
Meanwhile, when talking about joining the show, Jin expressed his desire to erase the distance with the filming crew. He shared: "It might be also be becos they feel awkward around me but others ppl are always polite toward me. But I'd like them to act more friendly with me. So when I stike up a conversaion w someone, I purpoely speak in a little more aggressively playful way. That way, we can be more relaxed around each other".
These details once again prove Jin's modesty and golden personality that many people in the industry and fans have mentioned. Although he is a veteran Kpop superstar at the present time, he has never stopped learning, working hard and making friends with people around him.
On the other hand, in the past, Jin has shown his dedication to any entertainment program he participated in.
In 2017, when participating in Law of The Jungle, Jin did not hesitate to go diving to find food for other members of the team. He fell ill afterwards due to the harsh weather and living conditions but still maintained an optimistic spirit, encouraged those around him and praised the program.
PD Lee Se Young even commented that, “Because he’s such a popular idol, I heard he has a packed schedule with barely any days off. He gave up a long-overdue vacation to film ‘Law of the Jungle,’ and I was worried that he’d struggle physically. I was relieved to see him actually having a great time.”
The PD also added, “The other cast members showered him with praise, saying that never in their lives have they seen an idol who is so innocent, bright, and overflowing with positive energy like Jin. He said that this is the first time that he’s appeared on a variety show without the other [BTS] members. He did so well that it made me wonder why it took him this long to venture into variety shows.”
