Not Yet Discharged, Jungkook Has Already Caused Chaos on Korea's Streets — What Happened?

According to the latest chart (April 12) of Billboard, Jungkook's solo debut song 'Seven', released in July 2023, ranked 132nd on the 'Global 200'.

Since its release, 'Seven' has remained on the chart for 89 consecutive weeks, making it the first and longest-running song by an Asian solo artist.

On the other hand, it is also the first and longest-running song by an Asian solo artist to rank 901 consecutive times on the 'Weekly Top Song Global' chart of Spotify, the world's largest music streaming platform.

As of the 12th (кσяєαn time), 'Seven' has reached 2.3 billion streams on Spotify, ranking 85th among the most streamed songs of all time.

Although Jungkook was not officially discharged from the military until June this year, records have been continuously set, making him the world's most powerful global pop star. This has further increased fans' expectations for the return of BTS's golden maknae.

In particular, Jungkook's fans could not contain their excitement, counting down to his discharge date by launching many unique, grandiose projects.

Led by the кσяєαn fan club "Jungkook Supporters", the three-month campaign (from April 1 to June 30) has officially started in Yeoncheon (Gyeonggi-do) - where Jungkook is serving. A series of taxis covered with the idol's designed photo rolled on the streets, carrying the message: "Jungkook's golden return - It's time to fly again".

More than just a promotion, the project is seen as a deep gratitude to the persistent journey of Jungkook - who has continued to shine since his debut with BTS until now, despite being in the military service. This is one of 7 special projects implemented by the "Jungkook Supporters" community, combining the 12th anniversary of Jungkook's debut with the milestone of the male singer completing his military service.

Previously, on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of Jungkook's solo album GOLDEN (2023), this fan community also made its mark with a series of creative activities: from decorating Jeonpo Market with banners carrying emotional messages such as: "We will always stand by Jungkook", "Thank you Jungkook for the golden moments", ... to organizing cafe events, Jungkook buses running through the city, and giving out free gifts to sol∂ιєrs and fans.

The support for Jungkook is not only because of his music, but also because of his warm heart. On March 28, the youngest member of BTS donated 1 billion KRW (about 682,000 USD) to the Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association, supporting the victims of the Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam wildfires, and contributing to improving working conditions for firefιgнтers.

These images not only prove the lasting love but also show the long-term support and companionship between the artist and the fan community, just like the legacy he is building by his music, kindness and endless dedication.

In June 2025, when Jungkook is officially discharged from the army, fans will not only welcome an idol back but also a mature artist, a global music icon who continues to "spread his wings" to conquer new milestones in his career!
