Supporting idols culturally is one of the good things that Kpop fans are aiming for. However, among them there are still many cases where it is impossible to distinguish what is a positive fan.

Most recently, netizens were extremely upset and indignant at the actions of some negative fans and tried to protect V from unnecessary criticism. Specifically, it is the combined news of V and BIGBANG T.O.P and V's act when following T.O.P's Instagram.

According to news from a few weeks ago, some kσrєαn media has suggested that another BTS artist will have another collaboration with another YG artist this year after an interesting collab between Jimin and Taeyang. Many of them speculated that it was the return of King of Kpop G-Dragon and possibly a collaboration with Jungkook or j-hope.

However, recently, the discovery that V followed BIGBANG T.O.P on Instagram surprised many people. The news of the collaboration was also spread among netizens until V unfollowed the artist. Even so, many still believe that it could be a move to show the union of these two unique artists as previously reported by the media.

But things did not turn out in a positive way after that, V even received a lot of malicious comments online from a part of fans for following BIGBANG's T.O.P on Instagram. Many commenters were annoyed because they thought that T.O.P is an idol whose private life is not pure and that he will adversely affect V.

Even more outrageous is that some people claiming to be ARMYs sent a lot of negative messages through direct messages on Instagram asking V to stop collaborating with T.O.P and not be allowed to follow him on Instagram. Some of these Twitter users disabled their accounts or deleted their tweets following backlash from other ARMYs and netizens:

Many netizens also defended V, saying that those who make negative comments towards him are not real fans and don't deserve to be part of ARMY. The hashtag "#FreeTaehyung" started trending on Twitter:

After all, some think that V unfollowed T.O.P on Instagram as soon as he followed him so this could also be an äċċïďệńẗ or some kind of mistake. This is not the only time V has äċċïďệńẗally followed an artist on Instagram. He äċċïďệńẗally pressed and followed a female artist from YG and a male artist from NCT before.

Not only that, rumors about the cooperation have not been confirmed, so many people think that the rebellious reaction of some toxic components is unacceptable. Moreover, no matter who V works with, many fans and netizens have made it clear that they support him unconditionally:

- Is this how ARMYS support the boys especially Kim Taehyung? If you’re truly an ARMY, you will not judge them in any situation & you’ll support them equally. This kind of behavior shouldn’t be tolerated. This is so disgusting. STOP THIS !!

- I mean If u watching stories on insta & while skipping stories u got recommendations of diff accounts too & I being using insta for more than 5 yrs now accidentally touch the follow button & believe me everyone did this mistake most of the times but antis just wants to hate him

- I’m true fan of Kim Taehyung for myself, an it is crashes my heart to him so hard in a deeper way, these need to stop treating Tae like that.

- These can't be army, they are definitely solos or multis. I didn't even know something like this happened

- What's wrong if V wants to collab of befriend with TOP.He's great person and top class musician. Just because he suffered alot from depression that almost cause his life people named him as criminal lol what a logic.

- Why need antis when this is how your own supposed fans are behaving and giving fodder to antis. Some of you need to know your place as fans and not cross your limits

- It’s becoming very obvious that these kind of fans are using this as an excuse to voice out their disdain against

- Maybe he accidentally hit the follow button again? This is the 2nd time he followed another artist. It also happen with another idol from NCT last year. Well, it happens to me all the time too. Especially when my phone crashed while scrolling on IG. But I hope he didn't unfollow him, accidentally or not. He can follow all the person he wanted to follow. But maybe, his agency also restricted them from using their IG.

- Just by following another artist, he got this much. Poor guy cant even breathe. I think if he got married secretly, these cray cray fans will end his wife. On side note, leave TOP alone. He didn't ask for this. He is happy with his wine sold out and going to the moon.

- You guys are too much!! Let them be.. they are adult they do not have to follow directions from a fandom.. Again you guys love them well do it without being so hypocrites.. Taehyung you haven’t done nothing bad. This world is so messed up..

Unfortunately, interactions between K-Pop idols are sometimes viewed in a negative light. Hopefully both artists are not affected by negative comments against them and that their personal decisions are respected.
