According to BigHit Music on May 12, BTS held their ‘BTS WORLD TOUR ‘ARIRANG’ IN MEXICO CITY’ concerts at Estadio GNP Seguros over three days — May 7, 9, and 10 (local time) — meeting approximately 150,000 au∂ιєnce members. This marked BTS’s first full-group concert in мєχι¢σ in about 10 years and 10 months, since July 2015.
During the concerts, BTS completely captivated Mexican au∂ιєnces with their stable live vocals and flawlessly synchronized choreography. The crowd responded with explosive enthusiasm, singing along perfectly to the кσяєαn lyrics. In particular, the performance of 'Airplane pt.2' was hailed as the highlight of the show. The song features the lyric, "We goin’ from мєχι¢σ City" - containing the city’s name resonated with the au∂ιєnce, making it a memorable and special moment of the day.
The members shared their feelings, saying, "You guys were truly the best. What more can we say? We will definitely come back to мєχι¢σ." They also drew a heated response by adding, "We won't forget the heat that continued from Zócalo Square. We are leaving with wonderful memories of мєχι¢σ," while delivering their gratitude in Spanish.

However, what impressed people even more was that the energy outside the stadium was just as intense as the atmosphere inside. Fans who could not get tickets crowded around the stadium area, turning the entire city into a frenzy for the group.
According to multiple local reports, around 40,000 fans gathered outside the stadium on the very first concert night despite not having tickets. The same situation continued on the second night, while the final concert reportedly drew nearly 70,000 people outside the venue. The enormous crowd even completely blocked a long section of Río Churubusco Avenue — one of the largest and most important roads in мєχι¢σ City.
The Los Angeles Times commented: “More than 1 million people attempted to purchase tickets, and those who couldn't enter gathered around the venue."
Even though they could not directly experience the concert inside the venue, tens of thousands of ARMYs still wore BTS’s signature purple outfits, held lightsticks, and stared toward the stadium for nearly two hours just to hear even a small portion of the music coming from inside. More astonishingly, they performed fanchants together just like the fans inside the stadium. One local fan even shared that the cheering was so loud that it “could be heard all the way at my grandpa's house, which is like 15 min from the GNP Stadium. BTS's imapct is insane"
At first, many αѕѕumed that the tens of thousands gathered outside were simply curious about BTS’s first tour in this Latin αмєяι¢αn country after many years. However, as the concerts continued, the number of people outside only grew larger. There were even rumors that the crowd outside on the final night may have reached close to 100,000 people at certain moments.
Regarding why the outside crowd nearly doubled on the last day, a Mexican ARMY revealed an important reason: “It's actually a holiday/festive day in мєχι¢σ because it's Mother's Day, so families often go out together. This helped Mother ARMYs and little ARMYs attend, even if they were just outside. Also, just so you know, there was a soccer match at the same time today, and ARMY tripled the attendance with BTS. What can I say? ARMY is truly powerful in мєχι¢σ!"

Coincidentally, the final BTS concert also took place on Mother’s Day. Even V celebrated the occasion in Spanish with the 50,000 fans inside the stadium, saying: “Today is Mother’s Day. Have you congratulated them yet? Call now. Video call. Mom Maria. Mom Teresa. Mom Lupe. Mom Coco. Thank you for raising us. Happy Mother’s Day, moms. We love you.”
But of course, as the fan above explained, even though there was a soccer match happening that same day, people still chose to gather around Estadio GNP just to catch even a little bit of the atmosphere from BTS’s concert. At its core, this reflects BTS’s overwhelming influence — so mαѕѕive that there was essentially a second stadium formed outside the main venue. It also demonstrates the extraordinary pαѕѕion local fans have for the K-pop superstars.
Meanwhile, SUGA was also aware that many fans could not get tickets but still supported the group from outside the stadium. He expressed: “Wow, everyone, you are truly amazing. I heard that there are as many people outside as there are inside this stadium. Is there a larger venue here in мєχι¢σ? Then, the next time we come, we'll have to perform there.” He also added: “I really enjoyed these past three days, and I'm leaving with nothing but great memories of мєχι¢σ. Thank you so much!”
SUGA’s suggestion received overwhelming support from fans. Even though the мєχι¢σ concerts ended a day ago, fans around the world still cannot stop talking about them: "мєχι¢σ army rock. Saying this with a heart full of Jelousy", "It looks like Whole мєχι¢σ is filled with ARMYS", "I bet entire population of mexico are ARMYs. So happy to see all of this", "Even fathers skipped soccer matches to go together with the mothers and children", "Bigger stadium please",...
