One common thread among ARMYs is that BTS has inspired and motivated them to strive to become better people every day. Many fans have even looked to the seven members as role models, discovering their dreams and shaping their own life ideals.
Within the BTS fandom, there are countless outstanding individuals — some achieving remarkable success in their careers and personal lives. Even simply being a devoted fan is soмєтнing to be proud of. Yet among them, there is one particularly exceptional case, capturing attention and admiration from fans worldwide, especially these days.
The central figure in today’s story is LE SSERAFIM’s Huh Yunjin — a longtime ARMY who has now risen to prominence as a top K-pop idol and also a junior under BTS at HYBE.
In an interview, Yunjin openly admitted: “Watching BTS at the αмєяι¢αn Music Awards made me have great pride as a кσяєαn and encouraged me a lot. So it made me want to be a singer who can also help and encourage others”. And she has truly achieved that!
What makes her story even more remarkable is that Huh Yunjin was not trained as an idol from the start. She originally pursued an opera career in high school and abruptly changed direction after looking up to BTS. To debut as an idol today, she underwent a long journey filled with challenges.
Fortunately, she has not only succeeded in realizing the dream sparked by her idol admiration but has also become the most successful fangirl: debuting in the same company as BTS, earning their affection, and even collaborating with them multiple times.
Most recently, ARMYs went wild upon learning that Yunjin and LE SSERAFIM will collaborate with J-Hope on his solo album SPAGHETTI, set to release on the 24th. Previously, Yunjin had contributed her voice solo on the track “i don’t know”, released on March 29, 2024, as part of j-hope’s special album Hope on the Street Vol. 1.
Beyond these two official collaborations with her BTS idols, Yunjin has also appeared in various dance challenge videos by other BTS members.
Who would have thought that a girl, about ten years ago, was just an ordinary fangirl — only able to “stand” beside idols in collaged photos for the traditional Selca Day of the fandom — would now actually dance and sing live alongside her idols?
In a post titled "LE SSERAFIM's Huh Yunjin is the most successful ARMY lolll", netizens compiled numerous photos of Yunjin and highlighted how devoted she was to BTS before starting her idol career:
"In the past, while she was still living in the U.S., Huh Yunjin was a BTS fan and posted a lot on Twitter...But when she became a Pledis [Entertainment] trainee, she must have deleted her Twitter before appearing on 'Produce [101]'. In particular, she seemed to like V a lot...so cute lolllll", the post described.
Additionally: "Because of Huh Yunjin's visuals, her face appeared on Facebook pages. If you search it up, these [photos] still show up lolllll. [She wrote 'Kim Taehyung's FANGIRLS everyone im- ♡.♡ ㅠ.ㅠ".
j-hope also seems to be a favorite of hers, as she mentioned him in one post with caption: "Wearing the black plastic bag that Hobie gave as a birthday gift.. Stop taking my pictures without permission Hoseok". Now, she has worked with the one in photo not just once, but many times — even collaborating on two songs, harmonizing with her favorite idol and earning his recognition.
Another piece of evidence: “She must have gone to BTS's concert in Newark, back in 2017,” as her former Twitter account, named Yunny, marked "032317 Neward" and her in-ear monitors when she debuted as an idol were engraved with this nickname.
Indeed, looking at these details, it’s clear that Yunjin has successfully realized her fangirl dream. She has become an iconic ARMY within the fandom, inspiring other fans to believe they too can reach their idols.
LE SSERAFIM’s consecutive collaborations with BTS may spark a little envy among fans, but they are even prouder because she represents the fandom so remarkably:
- Imagine being an ARMY Taehyung stan and ending up in the same label as him, yes she is living the life
- She also used the same nickname for curating her own earpiece from her old army twt account and probably attended the newark bts concert on 2017, she's a certified army y'all
- PURPLE BLOOD WKWKWK hat’s αωєsome. So excited to wait for Spaghetti
- I knew there was a reason why she was my fave in sera
- A successful fan TTT I'm so jealous but I even feel more proud of her because she represents us
- From being an army who had a fan account on twt who used to join arsd and going to a bts concert in Newark back in 2017 to 6 years later doing a tik tok dance challenge with the Min Yoongi. Yunjin is the definition of a successful army, I'm so happy for her
- yunjin my queen. the successful army
- so proud of her for never giving up and working hard.
- I'm a casual enjoyer of her solo songs which she writes all by herself; idk how to explain, they all have this purple energy?
