Dating or marriage is a piece of news worth celebrating for anyone, but if you are a celebrity, watch out! It may not be good news but rather the end point of your career.
Especially for the world’s top K-pop superstars like BTS – they have to be even more careful in this matter to avoid negative impacts on their careers and related parties. That is why, as you see, throughout the past 10 years, the members have never officially mentioned dating even though there have been many groundless rumors.
It seems that finding a girlfriend is not their goal at this time. There was a time when Jungkook and RM went live to confirm that they were still single and that love was not soмєтнing they cared about.
However, this does not mean that they do not think about the future. The members have never hesitated when talking about marriage or having children later on.
In an interview, the members were asked when they wanted to get married, and each person gave a different prediction about the age they thought they would be ready for marriage. And surprisingly, for some, age seemed not to give them the time to make it happen!
But also note that at the time of the interview, BTS did not seem to think their careers would go this far, so most of them chose a very early age.
Jin chose to get married at the age of 31, and in fact, now it is overdue compared to his plan! It seems that when Jin answered at that time, he did not think time would pαѕѕ so quickly and BTS’s career would be so successful that he no longer had time to do other things.
At present, he has just completed his solo tour, but then, with dozens of plans upon returning to BTS in the next 5 years, Jin will probably have to delay marriage for a while longer.
Next is RM, who also thought like Jin when he wanted to get married at the age of 32–33. RM is someone who also likes children, but he did not calculate that he would be drawn to his career to the point where recently he feared that it would be difficult for him to get married later on.
In tvN’s program “The Dictionary of Useless Human Knowledge,” RM even showed the change in his thinking. He admitted: "First of all, marriage is pretty scary for me…I'm not sure. I think it's very long, promise and swear eternity with one person 'Can soмєтнing like that happen in my life?' In the past, I thought it was one of the natural processes, I chose to live an unusual life. A sudden thought for the first time a few years ago..'Maybe I'm not getting married?!' Can you get out of control because you have that thought once?".
Meanwhile, SUGA said he would get married at the age of 35 – that is about 3 years from now, a time frame at least more relaxed than Jin and RM. But to reach this milestone, SUGA will have to act quickly because he still has many plans and goals with the members when BTS officially returns next year. Looking at the way he is engrossed in his studio and music-making equipment, I bet that is a big challenge!
In contrast to the members above, j-hope gave an unbelievable answer that he would get married at the age of 100. If so, would he be the oldest groom to walk into the wedding hall? Even if he wants to get married at that age, there will still be many fans willing to wait for him in the wedding hall.
Interestingly, Jungkook also had the same thought as j-hope, and we have two members who will forever belong to ARMY!
Finally, the two same-age friends V and Jimin had different choices regarding marriage age. While Jimin, like SUGA, chose to get married at the age of 35–36 and he still has a little time to fulfill this wish, V chose to get married at the age of 30 – quite early like Jin or RM.
If according to this wish of V, will fans witness his wedding this year? He has to hurry up if he wants to achieve his goal because there are only a few months left in the year!
In the end, a plan is still just a plan, whenever the members want to enjoy their private lives, marriage can happen. And as fans, what we need to do is to support all their decisions.
