Many Pop Mart Stores Worldwide Face An “Unexpected Trouble“ After V Appeared At The Airport This Morning

From around 2019–2020, a type of toy emerged that has captured global attention and continues to do so to this day: POP MART dolls. POP MART is a collectible toy brand from China, which later expanded to South Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia, and even Europe and the U.S.

They opened flagship stores and automated vending machines (Pop Mart Robo Shop) in major cities like Seoul, Tokyo, Bangkok, Paris, New York, and more. On e-commerce platforms across various countries, POP MART also has stores, with hundreds of thousands of products sold.

In recent years, POP MART’s blind boxes have become especially popular among young people because they feature a wide range of characters (Labubu, Molly, Dimoo, etc.) and offer many themed designs: seasonal, festival-related, or cartoon-inspired. These dolls are not only loved by ordinary collectors but also by celebrities.

The South China Morning Post once published an article listing celebrities spotted with POP MART characters, including BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Dua Lipa, Rihanna, David Beckham—and notably, BTS’s V.

So it’s no surprise that this morning, V appeared with a Hirono Living Wild doll – Fight for Joy attached to his trendy brown handbag. This is a new POP MART doll designed in collaboration with Japanese artist Hirono, released this June.

What’s remarkable is that this appearance triggered a “big problem every brand secretly wants” for POP MART stores. As soon as fans spotted the POP MART doll hanging from the K-pop superstar’s bag, it sparked a massive surge in demand.

The craze for purchasing the Hirono Living Wild doll escalated to the point that, in many countries such as China, South Korea, and Japan, most POP MART stores on major e-commerce platforms like Taobao, Naver, and Amazon had to announce that their products were sold out just hours after V appeared at the airport.

In China alone, 500 orders were placed within just a few hours, demonstrating V’s enormous global influence!

Moreover, Philippines POP MART flagship store also keeps mentioning V in their livestreams on Shopee or Tiktok when introducing Hirono Living Wild doll to sell.

Previously, V also triggered a Labubu craze by carrying one of the rarest models: Labubu Big Into Energy Series – Secret Edition Black Vinyl Plush Pendant, under similar circumstances—hanging it on his bag at the airport.

In an Instagram post, V accidentally revealed two Labubu dolls from The Monsters Big Into Energy Series: Love and Serenity. Soon after, sales of these dolls in POP MART stores worldwide surged.

Considering that V's ever crowned with the title of “Idol with Midas Touch”, it’s no wonder that every item he uses sells out almost instantly. He has the power to make ordinary products highly desirable and significantly more valuable. Fans once again marvel at the K-pop superstar’s ability to sell out anything:
