A few hours ago, Dispatch surprised netizens by announcing Iu and Lee Jong Suk's dating rumors before the new year. This famous couple quickly gained attention, especially after the actor's thank you speech about yesterday's mysterious girlfriend.

While the public eagerly congratulated the couple and looked forward to a happy ending, a few minutes ago, Lee Jong Suk's management company made an announcement about the news.

Lee Jong Suk's agency High Zium Studio has officially confirmed Dispatch's report about their relationship.

In a statement to media outlet Newsen, High Zium Studio commented on Dispatch's report regarding IU and Lee Jong Suk's relationship. They informed that:

"Hello, this is High Zium Studio.

We would like to share our official position regarding the exclusive report regarding Lee Jong Suk.

Actor Lee Jong Suk recently progressed his relationship with IU from a close colleague relationship to a loving relationship and the two continue to serious meet each other.

We ask for your support so that they can continue their beautiful love."

Before the dating news was released by Dispatch, Lee Jong Suk also mentioned “that person” in his speech at the 2022 MBC Drama Awards, which may have been all about IU. He shared with the big love that: "I was very plagued by fear, worries, and other problems after I finished my military service. Back then, there was someone who helped me move in a good direction and gave me positivity, as a human. I want to talk about this person using this chance.

I’m always thankful that the person is amazing and I want to say that I’ve liked and respected this person for a long time. When I see this person, I always think that I should have lived better, that I should have been a better person. I also end up reflecting that I should have done better in the past. I will work harder to become a better person in the future. I think that I can use this huge award as a motivation for that for a long time moving forward. I’ll be a hardworking and good actor."

Earlier today, Dispatch revealed that IU and Lee Jong Suk were in a relationship, with an acquaintance stating that they have been dating for about four months now.  According to Dispatch, the pair have been dating for about four months. Dispatch was able to spot the two together spending time in Japan. They enjoyed the winter holidays for a three day, two night stay in Nagoya, Japan.

Until their Japan vacation, the two were careful about their relationship. Lee Jong Suk left to go to Osaka, Japan on December 20 and IU travelled to Nagoya on December 24. Their final destination was Amannemu, a luxury resort in Nagoya, Japan. Lee Jong Suk headed to Nagoya following his fan meeting and IU went to Nagoya alongside her younger brother.

Lee Jong Suk travelled to Japan without telling anyone, even his manager. He personally booked the hotel and requested a pick-up service.

Dispatch was able to get a glimpse of Lee Jong Suk’s travels, showing that he was going back and forth between cities.

During his fan meeting tour, he also made sure to spend time taking care of IU’s younger brother. Both side’s families have already acknowledged each other as well, with IU singing the congratulatory song at Lee Jong Suk’s younger brother’s wedding and Lee Jong Suk inviting IU’s younger brother for the aforementioned Nagoya trip.

At the end of their vacation, Lee Jong Suk and IU flew out of Japan separately. IU flew out from Nagoya while Lee Jong Suk flew out of Tokyo. The couple still shared some couple items though, including glasses and bag.
