KFC Forced To Reveal Its Bias In BTS In The Most Unexpected Way

The size of BTS' fandom, ARMY, has long been renowned as one of the largest in K-pop. The Straits Times once described it this way: “By the numbers alone, Army is formidable. More than 44.7 million users follow the group on X, while 33.5 million users are registered on Weverse, the global fan platform used by BTS and other artistes. BTS are also the first K-pop group on Weverse to have more than 30 million registered fans. More than 82 million users subscribe to BTS’ official YouTube account and 73.9 million on TikTok.”

At the same time, ARMY is a diverse, multicultural community that cannot be defined through any single lens: from students and young people to parents; from people of every race, ethnicity, and gender; from ordinary individuals to world-clαѕѕ artists, and even high-ranking politicians.

The BTS phenomenon has not only captivated people but has also swept through major brands. Across social media platforms, it is not uncommon to see verified accounts with millions of followers openly identifying themselves as ARMYs, including Google, Netflix, Microsoft Edge, CNN, Snickers, Burger King, McDonald's... And recently, KFC has officially joined their ranks in perhaps the most hilarious way possible!

On June 3, KFC ѕραιи's official X (formerly Twitter) account, which has more than one million followers, posted a message that quickly caught the attention of ARMYs. The post, originally written in Spanish, translates to: "Please stop asking me who my BTS bias is. This is a serious account. We only talk about fried chicken here."

At first glance, it appeared to be a serious denial that the brand account had anything to do with BTS. However, things quickly became much funnier in the comments section. The account eventually came clean and admitted: "It's RM." No further explanation needed. KFC ѕραιи seemed to have tried hiding its enthusiasm no less pαѕѕionately than a real ARMY, but in the end, it simply couldn't help exposing itself.

In fact, KFC ѕραιи had already α¢¢ι∂єитally revealed itself as a huge BTS fan while promoting its viral "Menú Silla" campaign. The brand is currently offering the so-called "Chair Menu" in conjunction with Bad Bunny's concerts in Madrid. The unique feature of the combo is that it comes with a plastic chair so fans can sit and rest while waiting in line outside the stadium for hours before the concert begins. The idea was inspired by a scene that is all too familiar to concertgoers: lining up for hours in advance to secure a good spot.

Under one promotional post for the "Menú Silla," an ARMY commented: "Please do this for BTS in Madrid too." KFC ѕραιи then created a meme about ARMYs accompanied by the caption: "The most chill BTS fan since we launched the CHAIR MENU." The post quickly went viral and received enthusiastic reactions from tens of thousands of fans around the world. One fan even jokingly commented: "Whoever runs this account deserves a raise," to which KFC amusingly replied: "Honestly, all I need is a signed Jimin photocard."

But in the end, despite its obvious affection for Jimin—and BTS as a whole—KFC eventually confessed that RM is actually its ultimate bias in the group. Following KFC's υиєχρє¢тє∂ly delightful revelation, ARMYs couldn't help but react:

- We hear u bestie. When are we getting a collaboration with BTS? Just imagine getting to meet RM—I don't know about you, but I'd definitely think about it

- KFC, BTS have both chicken and songs that everyone loves. What are you waiting for? Offer them a collaboration, my friend

- An ARMY is running this account. I have no proof, but I have no doubts either. Come on wing

- The fact that KFC ѕραιи couldn't keep the secret for even one comment is sending me. RM really has everyone wrapped around his finger

- Namjoon's gonna buy you kfc stock options when you ask for chicken stock

- WDYM the fяєαкing KFC of ѕραιи is in love with my man #RM, AKA Kim Namjoon? Get in line

- There was a kfc order named rm and i was like if someday namjoon is standing next to me waiting gor his order i wont think he is real like real life him standing or just seeing him 3d is unimaginable

- Not KFC trying to act professional and then immediately admitting RM is their bias

- First they asked us to stop asking about their bias, then they casually dropped 'It's RM.' That's peak ARMY behavior

- I love how KFC went from 'we only talk about fried chicken here' to publicly declaring RM as their bias in less than a second
