KBS Is Accused Of Blocking BTS Fans Because Of Their Latest Campaign

The relationship between the public and the media is a two-way relationship, so up to now it has been difficult for the media to reject the opinion of the crowd. However, BTS fans in the following situation seem to be being rejected by кσяєα's leading media agency.

These days, ARMYs have expressed their anger accusing KBS of blocking their latest campaign tweets on Twitter. This is related to the anti-Zionist campaign they have been launching recently as well as showing KBS's lack of support for the new fan campaign.

This situation is becoming increasingly tense and has become a top concern for fans:

Over the last few months of the accelerating humanitarian crisis in Gaza, Palestine, K-Pop fans have taken action in different capacities to show their support and influence positive change. ARMYs, in particular, have been vocal in asking HYBE to “divest from Zionism,” and the agenda includes the company’s αѕѕociation with Scooter Braun.

There were many forms of protest widely carried out by ARMYs including sending trucks to HYBE headquarters in кσяєα. Several Palestinian ARMYs led the initiative to send out the protest truck on February 23. The truck, which highlighted the destruction of life in Gaza, also displayed a message in both English and кσяєαn, voicing the demands of fans, including Scooter Braun’s involvement and other artist collaborations.

Not stopping there, another social media campaign was quickly launched to attract as much attention as possible. To help spread their voice even further, many fans started to tag prominent кσяєαn news outlets in hopes that if mainstream news covered the issue, HYBE would have to pay attention. KBS was also among the nation's top news outlets mentioned in ARMYs' tweets.

However, many ARMYs have alleged that KBS News, in particular, has responded in a pαѕѕively hostile manner. The official Twitter account hid all the tweets that were posted on its page with the tag “#HYBEDivestFromZionism.” Additionally, many also claimed that they were blocked by the KBS News account for sending them tweets about the same.

While it is entirely plausible that these actions were not targeted but a result of existing filtering policies in place on the news outlet’s page, nothing can be αѕѕerted with certainty unless KBS News decides to address the allegations. Meanwhile, the news was recently covered by another highly revered outlet, Al Jazeera. The official Twitter page of Al Jazeera Palestine reported on the truck and the campaign, giving the supporters their much-wanted boost.

This is not the first time ARMYs have mobilized to stand up for a good cause. The fanbase famously made headlines for matching BTS’s whopping USD 1 million Dollars’ worth of donation to the Black Lives Matter movement in 2020. It is perhaps because of the message of BTS’s music that such a great number of individuals still continue with their admirable activism.

ARMYs could not stand still when they witnessed HYBE officials collaborating with and supporting officials and artists with Zionist ideology. Braun, CEO of HYBE αмєяι¢α, Usher or Pharrell Williams..., loyal supporters of Israel and its military bo∂ιєs, are prime examples of what ARMYs need to do this campaign towards HYBE.
