It can be said that, for Kpop fans in general and especially BTS, there is no limit for fans. They can be anyone, where they come from, what age and gender they are,... Because for music, there are no barriers at all.
In particular, the fandom ARMY is one of the most diverse fandoms in terms of fan composition. From children to the elderly, from women to men to people of the third gender,...There is no one who is not welcome into the world of BTS and ARMYs.
This not only happens between fans and fans, but the BTS members themselves treat any fan with respect. An interesting story about an interaction between Jungkook and a male ARMY shows how friendly and loving they really are to ARMYs.
Although the usual stereotype holds true for some people when the majority of K-pop fans are teenage girls. But in fact, the diversity of BTS's fandom proves this mindset wrong as there are many types of fans that exist in this global fandom.

Whether fans are male or female, or of any gender, BTS always interacts with them like any other ARMY. There are no gender boundaries in our fandom!
If you don't really believe these things yet, one more example will show you how beloved and adorable BTS is with male fans. During a rare fansign, a male fan showed support for Jungkook and playfully asked him out on a date.
In the note, this ARMY wrote, "Although I’m a fanboy, I really love Jungkook very, very much. Do you want to go on a date with me? Hahaha". It was really a surprise message but it was also cute because it showed how much he adores Jungkook.
Jungkook, after receiving the note, also responded in an equally humorous way. But his reply was really heartwarming: "[you’re] brave… Haha. Alright!"
This is not the only time Jungkook has overcome homophobia and gender barriers. Back in one of their interviews when the members were asked what they thought of fashion, Jungkook replied this is his answer: "Wearing anything you like, regardless of your gender"
When this male ARMY expressed his love for Jungkook, he did not hesitate to accept and cherish the fan's invitation. Jungkook really has a big heart and he's always humble, respecting his fans in a very sweet way.
It's heartwarming to see Jungkook speak up about important concerns in society, such as t̷o̷x̷i̷c̷ masculinity, h̴o̴m̴o̴p̴h̴o̴b̴i̴a̴ ̴, and gender stereotypes. That makes more people love him even more!
