Showbiz is a glamorous world but also a harsh environment for artists. Idols are not only under pressure from the public but are also under the company's management.
Many people only know that the management company trains artists, manages their schedules or releases music products without knowing that there is a strict system of rules. The company sets out a lot of principles, especially regulations about idol's behavior.
Under HYBE's management, Jungkook must also adhere to the same principles. However, he is willing to accept the company's punishment for breaking the rules just because this person:
From a business perspective, any entertainment company must have rules to control their idols to avoid unfortunate incidents. HYBE is no exception! They also have regulations for artists and superstars BTS cannot escape these regulations.
One of them includes the management company controlling direct conversations between BTS and fans. From live broadcasts to fansign video call events, members can only do after having management's permission. However, all the process will be supervised by HYBE staff. This is basically to avoid sensitive issues, impolite statements or wrong actions of idols taking place when they interact with fans, affecting their reputation.
But, there are still some cases where Jungkook is willing to violate this rule such as randomly broadcasting live or going longer than the allowed time in live chats with his ARMYs. Equally, he is even willing to face the company's punishment just for the love of his fans.
Specifically, once Jungkook held a fansign video call, he broke the rule for an enthusiastic fan introducing an alcoholic drink recipe. Initially, the call was only valid for 60 seconds but when the time ended, this ARMY still hadn't finished mixing. Then, HYBE staff asked her to leave to ensure fairness for other fans. Instead of letting the ARMY leave with regret, Jungkook held up his imaginary drink while telling the staff, “Hold on, this is really important". He waited for the ARMY to finish making the drinks and they both shared the joy before saying goodbye.
Jungkook's behavior went against HYBE's rules but he was willing to accept reprimand from the company for this case. Not only that, his actions were understood and supported by other fans because it came from his sincere love for them. He also showed how much he appreciates his fans.
That wasn't the only time Jungkook broke HYBE's rules just for ARMY. Fans recalled a previous broadcast when he affirmed that he would face all penalties before his management company if he said soмєтнing wrong in front of fans. Jungkook also revealed that it is entirely possible that the company is worried about what he is doing but that he is aware of his behavior.
He said, "Think the company might be monitoring now? They might be afraid of what I am saying right now cause they don't know what I will do next. What can I do? This is what I want to do. I want to do live and communicate with you guys so what? I want to do it. Let's say if I made a mistake during live, then, yeah I will be responsible for my wrongdoing sure but I love this...as a human. It makes me excited every time with you".
Live broadcasts where Jungkook unєхpєctєdly arrives without the staff's permission or drinks alcohol during those broadcasts are clearly violations of HYBE's regulations. But Jungkook himself is ready and always aware of his responsibility in everything he says to his fans. Even if he has behavior or words that the company thinks he should not show, he is fully responsible for it, as long as he is honest with his ARMY.
That is also the factor that makes ARMYs believe in what he said about their relationship: "Love. Love comes to mind first. I love you!".
