HYBE Labels recently announced that the remaining members of BTS, Jungkook, Jimin, RM, and V will be enlisting together on December 11 and 12 to complete their mandatory m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ service. While fans were naturally heartbroken to say goodbye to the members until their expected return in 2025, they were happy to see them embark on a Weverse live stream one last time before set off to perform m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ service.

During the live broadcast, several things were revealed, including the members confirming their enlistment form. Meanwhile, many fans noticed Jungkook's regret when he wanted to join the special forces but was unable to do so for an unfortunate reason.

On December 5, the last 4 members of BTS who were about to enlist held a live broadcast to bid farewell to their fans. During this final party, the members showed their positive energy and readiness to join the army, making fans feel reäṩṩured.

V even emphasized that he really felt excited about the process of performing his duty. He also shared that he will join the special forces as previously reported by the media and asked fans to trust him to do well in this role. He said: "Ah and, yes...There was soṃệẗḧing I wanted to say! The place I'm going, there was news released. ARMYs were really worried but for me, I have a goal so please don't worry too much! I'll come back well and won't get ȟɥȑț! I'm a little~~~~ worried but just trust me!"

But then, what touched fans even more was when Jungkook confessed that he also wanted to join the special forces. He expressed "I also want to join special forces" with regret. This confession did not come as a surprise to fans because Jungkook is actually well suited to the physical and adventurous activities of this force.

Specifically, the Special Task Force of the Military Police of the Capital Defense Command, SDT, is a m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ p̾o̾l̾i̾c̾e unit deployed at the headquarters, corps, and division levels of each m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ unit that exists to ensure the safety of 10 million citizens of Seoul. It is a unique soldíєr system that carries out counter-terr0rism operations, security of domestic and foreign figures, arrest of vi0lent m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ criminals, and emergency rescue and relief activities in the event of various α¢¢ι∂єитs and disasters. Because they perform not only first responder duties but also direct suppression when necessary, they must päṩṩ a variety of difficult tests when applying and are said to undergo intensive training even after becoming a member.

To carry out these special operations, operators must undergo rigorous training. Members of the Special Forces, who are selected as recruits rather than conscripts, must learn special p̾o̾l̾i̾c̾e martial arts, shooting sкιℓℓs, building rappelling for infiltration, and helicopter rappelling sкιℓℓs based on physical training to overcome physical limitations. The members who have been trained through training demonstrate their sкιℓℓs through counter-terr0rism first action training, m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ crim1nal apprehension operations, and joint civil, government, and m̴i̴l̴i̴t̴a̴r̴y̴ anti-terr0rism training. Looking at the above criteria, a true gymer like Jungkook is definitely more than qualified.

However, he was not able to register for this force like V because the ḳöŕệän army has strict regulations for recruits with visible tattoos on their bo∂ιєs. Male ḳöŕệän citizens can only apply directly to specialized units if they do not have any tattoos or if tattoos are not visible when wearing short and sleeveless shirts. In addition, December 11 is the day men register for professional units and training center instructors and this is only suitable for RM and V.

Meanwhile, Jimin and Jungkook will enlist at normal m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ training centers in Kyunggi or Gangwon Province, where they must complete basic training in 5 weeks. But that doesn't mean Jungkook's hopes of joining the special forces are over. Recruits can be äṩṩigned to this unit after completing basic training if approved by the m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷.
