Jungkook Unexpectedly Follows a TWICE Member, Raising Fans' Expectations for a Dance Collaboration

In June this year, Jungkook officially surpαѕѕed 400 billion cumulative views for his personal hashtag #jungkook on TikTok, becoming the first and only solo artist — surpαѕѕing even renowned names like Taylor Swift — to reach the 400 billion-view milestone with a single personal hashtag. As of now, Jungkook’s personal TikTok account has surpαѕѕed 34.3 million followers. Despite having posted just over 30 videos, he already has six videos with more than 100 million views and 27 videos that have surpαѕѕed 50 million views.

Unlike other social media platforms such as Instagram or X, which come with certain “limitations” when it comes to interactions, TikTok is a fertile ground for Jungkook to indulge in his pαѕѕion for dancing as well as freely interact with various celebrities and artists. Naturally, this also means that fans pay close attention to the long list of artists he follows or interacts with. And recently, one particular name υиєχρє¢тє∂ly appeared on that list!

On September 4, fans quickly noticed that Jungkook is now following TWICE’s Momo on TikTok. This immediately drew attention because although Jungkook is fairly open about following dancers, choreographers, K-pop group accounts, and international artists, Momo is clearly one of the few female artists the idol has chosen to follow himself.

More notably, both Jungkook and Momo are considered two of K-pop’s standout “dance machines.” The two regularly attract attention for their impressive dancing sкιℓℓs and have repeatedly led trends with the dance challenges they take part in. Therefore, as soon as fans discovered that Jungkook was following Momo, they immediately started dreaming about a dance challenge featuring the two stars in the future.

Many fans began buzzing with excitement: "2 holes for a reason IM READY", "momokook tiktok dance challenge soon please", "bangtwice healings everywhere", "MOTHER AND FATHER", "Dance Challenge whennnnnn", "the closest we’re getting to another bangtwice dance challenge", "love Jungkook but I can't take my eyes off Momo", "bangtwice just нιтs different", "THESE HOTTIES MY GODDDDDDDD",...

Not only were fans excited about the possibility of a collaboration, but many also looked back at the history of interactions between BTS and TWICE members and began to realize that the two groups actually share a very good friendship. For example, j-hope and Sana once sent fans from both sides into a frenzy with their adorable interactions when they chatted on the YouTube show “Sana's Fridge Interview” last year. During the show, j-hope also revealed that BTS and TWICE had taken a group photo together in 2019, while the two groups were promoting “Boy With Luv” and “Fancy,” although the photo has never been released to this day.

The friendly relationship between the two groups has also been reflected in many other moments. Nayeon and Momo once happily took part in the “Sweet Dreams” dance challenge with j-hope, while the members have also excitedly met each other when they attended a BLACKPINK concert in Seoul. In addition, Jihyo and Tzuyu have mentioned BTS in public interviews, expressing recognition and respect for the group’s status as well as BTS’s role in paving the way for K-pop idols to enter the U.S. market.

With the strong friendship between BTS and TWICE, along with Jungkook’s latest move on TikTok, fans are even more excited about the possibility of seeing a joint dance challenge from the two in the future. And if that day ever comes, they are convinced it will set social media on fire!
