Jungkook Tries To Spoil Few Details About BTS's Upcoming Album Despite Fearing HYBE Might Contact Him

On the 15th of this month, as spring—the time when BTS are expected to return as a full group—draws ever closer, Jungkook shared his thoughts in an interview with ELLE while shooting his first pictorial as the newly appointed global ambαѕѕador for Chanel Beauty. He said, “I think this spring will be more important than ever. So I sincerely hope that we’ll be able to get through this spring safely and peacefully.”

Later that evening, Jungkook met with fans for the first time in about 20 days since his previous live broadcast, offering several signals that heightened excitement ahead of BTS’s comeback. He appeared wearing his signature black outfit, but with a noticeable change—his hair had been trimmed shorter, a look fans had not seen in quite some time since he had been frequently wearing it long and permed.

Although he expressed a bit of regret about cutting his hair shorter than he originally intended, repeatedly telling fans how he planned to “fix” the hairstyle he wasn’t fully satisfied with, overall, he appeared bright, energetic, and radiant these days. Simply seeing his wide, genuine smile was enough to make fans feel happy.

Notably, the main focus of this live broadcast revolved around conversations about the group’s upcoming album. The BTS members have largely not hesitated to share updates on its progress, and Jungkook was no exception. However, as expected, ARMYs wanted more and asked him to give a small spoiler. While Jungkook clearly wanted to, he cautioned, saying, “The company will call me right away. I do want to do it though—give a comeback spoiler.”

He then tried to elaborate a bit so fans wouldn’t feel completely disappointed. “I’ve been listening to the songs and I think they’re good. The hyungs and I get together, listen to them, and talk about how we feel. The members said they’re happy with how everything turned out, so I want you all to hear it soon,” he shared.

However, the more he talked, the more Jungkook seemed tempted to reveal additional details, even exclaiming, “Why do I keep wanting to give you spoilers?” He went back and forth, asking, “Should I sing you some of our song? I’ve never done that before! Should I spoil our song? What do you think? Should I sing one of our songs? Do it? Do it? Should I go there? What do you think?”

He appeared genuinely torn, debating whether or not to worry about the company’s reaction if he revealed too much. Fans couldn’t help but laugh when he joked, “The moment I sing the song, I’ll get a call right away. But who am I? I don’t mind. Actually, I do mind. But wouldn’t just one song be okay?”

However, Jungkook’s remaining sense of restraint stopped him from singing any new material. Instead, he concluded with, “Album, hurry up and come out already! I’m dying of impatience. There are two or three performance songs—wait, no. One, two, three, four? Four songs? But they might feel new to you. Or maybe not. But anyway, it’ll be really cool.” He also added, “Recently, we played all the songs in order and sang them live. We matched the choreography with our previous songs, and since the muscle memory was still in our bo∂ιєs, we were able to do it quickly. So yeah, we’re working really hard to get ready. Really.” He further revealed that once the choreography is finalized, they will begin full-scale choreography practice on the 19th and 20th of this month.

In the end, Jungkook surprised fans by promising that official comeback news would be announced soon, and when the time comes, he would try to “hide it from the company” to give more spoilers about the new album. He said, “For the spoiler—well, it’s December right now, so the comeback is still a bit far away. When it’s not far off, I’ll secretly turn on the live laughs and give you a spoiler. I can’t let you hear the song though.” Fans jumped with excitement, eagerly waiting for him to keep his promise.

Although the information Jungkook shared during the latest live broadcast did not lead to many concrete predictions about the album’s concept or content, it was more than enough to satisfy eager ARMYs. Fans also expressed understanding and appreciation for their idol’s efforts to share updates despite the strict oversight of the company. Following his remarks, fans took to social media to share their reactions:
