There’s a fitting proverb to open this story: Kindness begets kindness!
Jungkook has always been known as an idol with a golden heart, someone who treats everyone around him with gentleness and respect. While many celebrities often find themselves caught in scandals due to their attitude, in the past 10 years — from a teenager to a grown K-pop superstar — Jungkook has never once been criticized for his character.
One of the core reasons behind the Jungkook we see today lies in the care, guidance, and influence of his six fellow BTS members. Living together for a decade like a real family, the members have nurtured each other’s strengths, curbed their weaknesses, and grown together — especially in front of their youngest, Jungkook.
Jungkook himself has admitted that he is deeply influenced by the other members. Among them, there’s one who has never once raised his voice at him. The patience of this member has taught Jungkook how to treat others with the same kindness.
Specifically, Jungkook revealed that SUGA is the only member who has never scolded him in more than 10 years, ever since he first moved into the BTS dorm. The Golden Maknae even confidently stated: “SUGA-hyung will never scold me.”
During a live broadcast, Jungkook once shared that he had asked SUGA to teach him piano. However, SUGA firmly declined, explaining that he didn’t want to end up scolding Jungkook if he made mistakes while practicing — proving his point.
Similarly, at a fansign event, when asked whether he had ever scolded the members, SUGA admitted he had done with other members — but never Jungkook. His reason was simple: "Because doing so to a child is inappropriate".
SUGA has witnessed Jungkook’s growth and perhaps recognized that the youngest member did not have the easiest childhood. This may be why he has always chosen to treat Jungkook with extra gentleness and care.
Despite his often cold and reserved exterior, SUGA carries a warm heart and a unique way of showing affection. His treatment of Jungkook — and the other members — is proof of how deeply he cares for them.
One particularly touching moment came in December, when RM, V, Jimin, and Jungkook enlisted. SUGA, who had already begun his own service in September, took great effort to secure two rare days off just so he could see them off. It was a small but meaningful gesture that spoke volumes about his love for the group.
In return, because of SUGA’s steady kindness over the years, Jungkook grew up with a bright spirit and a compαѕѕionate heart. That influence has shaped the way he interacts with others, which is why anyone who works with Jungkook is left impressed not only by his talent but also by his kindness.
In the end, BTS truly is a family. The way they have grown together has forged a bond that the world can’t help but admire — and even envy.
