As some fans may already know, on the 14th of this month, Jungkook attended BIGBANG G-Dragon’s solo concert in Seoul together with j-hope and two SEVENTEEN members—Hoshi and Mingyu, who are close friends of his from the 97-line. G-Dragon held a three-day solo concert series at Gocheok Sky Dome as part of his “Übermensch” solo world tour, marking the conclusion of his first major solo tour in approximately eight years.
On social media that day, numerous videos and photos surfaced showing Jungkook and the other idols enjoying the performance from the VIP balcony area. In particular, BTS’s Golden Maknae looked no different from a true VIP, dancing and swaying enthusiastically to the melo∂ιєs of clαѕѕic songs by the second-generation K-pop icon.

While fans were only able to catch brief glimpses through photos and videos taken by fellow concertgoers, Jungkook later shared his own thoughts directly during a live broadcast on the 15th, talking about how he felt after attending the concert. He even revealed that he had personal interactions with G-Dragon following the performance that day.
Specifically, Jungkook shared candidly, saying: “I went to GD-hyungnim’s concert yesterday. It was a lot of fun. It made me remember the past, and the concert itself was fun and cool, but I think the best part was being able to recall those times. So I met hyungnim, and we got to chat a bit.”

Jungkook’s revelation delighted fans and reminded many just how big of a fan he has always been of G-Dragon. In the past, BTS’s Golden Maknae has repeatedly expressed his admiration for BIGBANG and G-Dragon, regarding them as role models and major sources of inspiration for his own career. He has also covered several of BIGBANG’s iconic songs over the years.
In fact, what many people may not know is that Jungkook’s childhood dream was originally to become a professional badminton player. However, after watching G-Dragon perform “Heartbreaker,” he became determined to pursue a career as an idol. He later participated in auditions for the talent search program Superstar K in 2011, when he was only 13 years old. Following that audition, Big Hit Music successfully persuaded him to join the company, where he eventually debuted as a member of BTS.

It can be said that G-Dragon completely changed the course of Jungkook’s life. Combined with the pαѕѕion of a longtime fan, it is easy to understand why waves of nostalgia washed over him as he watched his greatest idol perform on stage.
