Specifically, in a social media post, a former schoolmate revealed that Jungkook was devoted to a rather unusual hairstyle throughout middle school—one that looked nothing like the image fans know today. His hair was often so long that it completely covered his eyes, and he also tended to keep his head down, causing his bangs to obscure most of his face. This led many people to believe that he must have had some kind of scar on his eyes.

The truth, however, turned out to be surprisingly different! According to the former clαѕѕmate, there was one occasion when Jungkook was reprimanded by a teacher and his hair was α¢¢ι∂єитally brushed aside. It was the first time many students had gotten a clear look at his eyes—and finally understood the reason behind his unusual hairstyle.

The clαѕѕmate wrote: "Then one day he got scolded by a teacher, and we finally saw his eyes. They've stuck in my memory ever since. I still remember it vividly. Later I heard that his eyes were ridiculously pretty, and because people kept talking about them all the time, he started covering them up."

As it turns out, Jeon Jungkook's intimidating, eye-covering look during his school years wasn't about trying to look cool—it was because he was shy.
