Lately Jungkook seems to be interested in doing live broadcasts as he cooks a late night meal for him. Not only cooking in front of millions of fans, Jungkook is also very generous in giving away his exclusive recipes to fans.
Of course, it's also a "big gift" for brands that have ingredíєnts used by Jungkook. Although Jungkook only αccídєntally used common ingredíєnts, they were quickly sought after by fans and became a best seller. Therefore, brands give a lot of thanks when King Of Sold Out uses their products.
Kikkoman is also one of Jungkook's favorite brands recently and they posted a thank you post for Jungkook using their products. However, in the post on the Twitter account, they misspelled Jungkook's name and soon after, the agency took an action as a sincere apology to him and the fans felt it was really lovely and unєхpєctєd:
On April 24, Jungkook and V attended the premiere of the movie Dream, to show their support for the cast, including Park Seo Joon and IU. After returning from the premiere and after drinking with V and Wooga Squad, Jungkook returned home and did a live broadcast on Weverse.
Even though it was around 5:00 am (AM) on April 25 in ḳöŕệä, he still enthusiastically chatted with fans and even made some food before going to bed. For the first half hour or so, Jungkook admitted that he was ready for bed. But soon he changed his mind and started talking about a noodle sauce recipe he tested recently.
Earlier, Jungkook shared another experimental instant ramen recipe on Weverse, combining two popular ramen brands, Samyang's Buldak and Nongshim's Noguri. He called the dish "Bulgueri," and the recipe was so successful that Nongshim registered "Bulgueri" for trademark registration.
On the latest broadcast, he wanted to share a new recipe for buckwheat noodles. Not only did Jungkook describe it to ARMY, but he actually fought the urge to make a plate of noodles for himself.
He puts ingredíєnt after ingredíєnt in a bowl, mixes them and tastes the results, tweaking it here and there as he feels necessary. But the final version of the noodle sauce was fixed by Jungkook on Weverse according to this recipe:
Notably, while cooking, Jungkook used some soy sauce and got super excited when he realized that the expiration date was his birthday, which is September 1. Soon after, this bottle of soy sauce as well as other ingredíєnts used by Jungkook, there was a boom in sales.
Considering Jungkook's influence, it's no surprise that he always makes things he touches sell out. Kikkoman even took to his official Twitter account to thank his idols for popularizing their soy sauce product. In addition, the brand also shared a photo of the actual product he used with the caption:
However, netizens quickly noticed that the brand misspelled Jungkook in the mid-tweet hashtags. Instead of correctly writing "Jungkook", they wrote it as "Jungkok". Fans then pointed out to the brand when they misspelled his name.
After noticing the typo, the company shared a surprise apology on their account. They didn't edit the old post, but instead a sincere apology as their staff copied Jungkook's name in English correctly to remember that they would never misspelled his name once again.
This particular apology tweet made ARMY LOL and feel new. In particular, in the following post, the brand also explained and apologized thoroughly, making fans unable to get angry.
The company wrote: "For yesterday’s spelling mistake, thank you for a lot of [people] pointing it out. I will reflect on it again…
[We] will practice properly/thoroughly. We are very sorry for the inconvenience caused.
We look forward to your continued support of 濃いだし本つゆ (name of the product)"
After the posts were shared, ARMYs felt they were cute. For many, it was not only the quickest, but most iconic because it wasn’t just empty words and the brand even showed their dedication to get Jungkook’s name right:
- They’re doing the best.
- Note book thingie reminds me of my primary school teacher
- Thats what we did in school when we get wrong in dictation
- Their Soy sauce is very popular. Even in ̾i̾n̾d̾i̾a we use it
- They should give him an endorsement
- So cuteee, i will support you
- I use kikkoman products all the time!
- Wow. Even though Jungkook's name is wrong, the important thing is that the company knows how to thank Jungkook.
- the only way to correct a mistake!
- this is so humble and cute
- Aw that a super cute and funny answer
Although it seems like many companies, people, and brands are made to apologize to idols for their behavior, Kikkoman did it for all the right reasons and will probably see their popularity rocket even more.
