Earlier today, fans were happy with the news that Jungkook had achieved Planinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of jäṗäń with his solo album. It's like a reward for him before starting his m̷i̷l̷i̷t̷a̷r̷y̷ term next week.
Along with this happy news, fans also noticed a viral video on social networks that said Jungkook "paid for an ARMY's GOLDEN album". This surprised fans because of this fan's luck despite knowing that Jungkook loves and always treats his fans well.
Here is the full story of how this ARMY received an album from Jungkook:
According to the Recording Industry Association of jäṗäń on December 8, Jungkook's first solo album 'GOLDEN' received a 'platinum' gold disc certification for cumulative shipments exceeding 250,000 copies as of November. Jungkook is the first solo artist to achieve 'platinum' certification with the pinnacle solo album of his career.
Fans are very happy and celebrating this achievement because Jungkook's efforts were also recognized. Not only that, this achievement also proves the support of fans for him and the love for GOLDEN around the world. For ARMYs, owning albums of Jungkook or any member of the group seems to have become a top hobby.
But the album is even more valuable when it is "paid for" by the album's producer. Specifically, in a video circulating on SNS recently, an ARMY shσckingly revealed that Jungkook paid for her album. This ARMY is named Chloe and has a Tiktok account named @cyouinseoul.
On her account, she posted a video sharing how Jungkook paid for the GOLDEN album she bought. Right at the beginning of the video, she explained exactly how she monetizes some of her videos on the platform: "Jungkook paid for my albums. Basically, he did because I’m a part of the TikTok Creaitivty Program Beta program. I do have some of my TikTok videos monetized."
In particular, a video she recorded of Jungkook surprisingly attracted ARMY's attention. That's the video of Chloe seeing Jungkook at Music Bank from afar. Due to the position Chloe was standing in, she had to film him through someone else's legs. The absurdity of the angle made the video go viral with 685.8K views at the time of writing.
For that number of views, she earned an amount of money equal to the price of Jungkook's GOLDEN album. And that's why she said Jungkook paid for her album. Chloe continued: "The money generated from that video was the literal cost of my albums. So, I thought you know Jungkook gave me money, I might as well give it back to him…"
So Chloe opened the box a bit, showing off her scissors. She also thanked Jungkook for helping her! It's truly a lovely story and ARMYs are interested in her fortune:
- Lemme take the clap for people until it is your turn quote seriously. congratulations
- they need to book bigger venues. but I'm guessing it's because it was kinda last minute
- Good luck Army! I hope your wish will be granted
- OMG that was really great wow awwn. that amazing am happy for you
- congratulation...u are so lucky girl...
- happy for you co'armys
- I have liked and commented on that video
- You deserve it have fun wit the album
But there's also the idea that while Chloe didn't do this on purpose, there could be others trying to exploit Jungkook's image to make money. Therefore, fans think that others should consider doing som̾e̾t̾h ̾ing to profit related to BTS.
