On June 7, BIGHIT MUSIC released an official statement via Weverse, announcing, “RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are close to completing their active service in the army and will soon be discharged...We place the safety of our artists and fans as our top priority, and sincerely request our fans not to visit the sites in person.”
Although a single request from BIGHIT MUSIC momentarily halted the waves of welcome, fans held close the warmth of an unforgettable reunion in their hearts in this moment. The solemn air of this earnest plea between artist and fan only deepened under the name of love.
In particular, Jungkook made the sol∂ιєrs serving in the same Yeoncheon area as him very happy ahead of his discharge. This came from the event of the BTS superstar's fan club 'Jungkook Supporters'.
The club held a 4-day support event to celebrate Jungkook's discharge and 12th debut anniversary from June 5 to 8, providing free drinks and ice cream to the sol∂ιєrs as well as giving them event gifts.
'Jungkook Supporters' announced that they will provide free drinks and ice cream to sol∂ιєrs in uniform at Coffee Bay Yeoncheon Jeongok Branch and Baskin-Robbins Gyeonggi Yeoncheon Branch in Gyeonggi Province, where Jungkook is serving.
With the event currently underway, it is reported that more than 230 ice creams and 200 cups of coffee have been sold since the first day on the 5th. There are many photos and news reports that there are many sol∂ιєrs, even Jungkook's teammates, holding fans with his image in Yeoncheon City.
