BTS has always been famous for being a group that works hard and dedicates themselves to their work. And that's the reason why they have a success that few groups can reach.
But maybe many people can't understand how much effort they put in and even 100 times as much when they were trainees. This was revealed by j-hope and even Jungkook once almost cried when the group had no celebration other than practice when they first won No.1 Billboard.
Here's what happened that day through his memory of Jungkook's image:
j-hope recently appeared on an episode of the YouTube show MMTG and shared everything about his life. Together with host JaeJae, j-hope reviewed the milestones and memorable memories during his active years.
Meanwhile, host JaeJae chats with j-hope and praises him as a Sandokki - a ̾k̾o̾r̾e̾an slang term for someone who works hard with perseverance. When it comes to BTS and their success, nothing but their relentless efforts and hard work is truly the terror of many.
BTS used to practice up to 14 hours a day, and even when they do concerts and world tours, the group doesn't stop practicing hard. Sometimes, even with busy schedules, the group practices 6 hours a day. Even now, when the members have breaks, they still go to the gym to maintain their health every day, attend a lot of clαsses or work in the studio.
But apparently, it was less stressful than when the group operated almost without a day off of the year. Host JaeJae brought a story that shows how j-hope and BTS perfectly embody the 'never out of style' trait.
Specifically, back in 2020, BTS нιт an interesting milestone when "Dynamite" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard HOT 100 chart. This is a surprising and admirable achievement for a single person. ̾k̾o̾r̾e̾an artists that not everyone can do.
Because of this, the members held a celebratory live stream with ARMYs. If it was us or even other groups, maybe they would organize a celebration or gather to enjoy that extremely happy joy. No.1 Billboard is really an event worth enjoying.
But it led to a funny situation, which is when the 6 BTS members were said to sit far away from j-hope during the livestream broadcast. It is interestingly explained that because the group won the first No.1 Billboard, they wanted to consider whether or not to cancel the dance practice afterwards.
And as usual, j-hope is the leader of the choreography and he will have the final say on what they will do that day. While everyone has the intention of wanting to skip practice and celebrate the victory, the choreographer j-hope has no intention of letting people drop out so easily.
When everyone celebrates and wonders if they will get a break from practice, j-hope can only say "see you later" like a true hard worker and that the group will still practice after that. This is said to be the reason why people "shun" j-hope.
The reason j-hope didn't want to give it up so easily was because they were preparing for somєthing at the time. Even though it was a celebratory event and skipping a day of practice, the group looked fine but in the end all the members agreed with j-hope's decision to practice because they wanted a great performance. The most perfect and wonderful performance.
And there is another moment that Jungkook's almost teary eyes explained how the members treated it like every other day and that they practiced as hard as ever. Jungkook once said in an interview that, "On the day when our song was number 1 on Billboard, we did a live stream and then went to practice right after and practiced… so there’s nothing special."
Even j-hope was then shσcked by Jungkook's puppy eyes and he felt a little guilty for not letting the members enjoy it in a more special way. However, j-hope revealed that even when he is the leader of the practice group, all the members are the ones who agree and make the final decisions. Although it may have been a difficult choice that day for them, their efforts always paid off in the end!
