Jungkook Earns The Admiration From Jinu's Vocalist In K-pop Demon Hunters After Pointing Out A Flaw

The animated film K-pop Demon Hunters is currently a cultural phenomenon in South кσяєα, officially becoming the most-watched animated title on the Tving platform in Q2 of 2025. According to Nielsen кσяєα, K-pop Demon Hunters recorded over 12 million views within just three weeks of its release, while also ranking as the top trending keyword in кσяєα throughout the month of June.

Not only has the film created a major buzz among animation fans, but many K-pop idols have also publicly expressed their love for it — including members of BTS.

During a group livestream earlier last month, leader RM was caught humming the line “You’re my soda pop, my little soda pop” — a lyric from the track Soda Pop performed by the fictional boy band Saja Boys in the movie. Jungkook instantly recognized the melody and asked, “You watched K-pop Demon Hunters, didn’t you?” When RM nodded and confirmed, Jungkook didn’t hesitate to praise it: “It’s fun, isn’t it?”

In fact, Jungkook became so emotionally immersed in the storyline that he ended up crying during the final episode. “I watched KPOP DEMON HUNTERS and I cried. I cried. At the end. When they were doing with the Saja Boys and when she said that she was going to make a Honmoon by herself and ran into the stadium. And I went oh and [tears] dropped,” he recalled in a separate livestream with fans.

Despite his affection for the film and the song Soda Pop, Jungkook didn’t overlook a small pronunciation error made by Jinu — the leader and main vocalist of Saja Boys — during the performance.

During a solo livestream on Weverse on July 14, Jungkook began singing along to Soda Pop from the film: “No matter how much I drink it still doesn’t satisf–” (Masigo masyeo bwa do, seonge chajiana)...suddenly he paused and pointed out a subtle кσяєαn pronunciation mistake.

According to Jungkook, the correct line should be “seonge chajiana”, but in the original track, it was recorded as “seonge jachiana”. He casually noted: “But wait, you see. In the lyrics it’s supposed to be ‘seonge chajiana’ but it’s ‘seonge jachiana’. Seems like it was recorded backwards.”

This small discovery quickly caught the attention not only of fans but also of Andrew Choi, the vocalist who performed as Jinu’s singing voice in the movie.

In an interview with The Straits Times, Andrew expressed genuine surprise and admiration: “The thing that I love about Jungkook is that he sings with such ease, which is a sign of a true vocalist. Jungkook's performance is 11 out of 10.”

He added: “Jungkook pointed out a mistake in the movie's OST 'Soda Pop.' I didn't even notice it. No one seemed to have noticed it until Jungkook took a listen to it. So thank you, Jungkook, for that.”

Andrew’s words not only showed his deep respect for Jungkook’s sharp musical ear, but also highlighted how the BTS member approaches music with genuine focus and pαѕѕion.

Shortly after, Jungkook’s brief comment began trending widely across social media. Many fans were astonished by his musical precision, with both кσяєαn and international forums dubbing him a “true perfectionist”. They emphasized that for Jungkook, music isn’t just a profession — it’s an inseparable part of who he is:
