If you're a fan of BTS news, you probably haven't forgotten the story of a former State Department employee trying to sell a hat that Jungkook ŀöṩẗ at an exorbitant price. After this story spread on social media, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Police Department investigated and arrested the suspect.

But the latest statement from Jungkook shows a nice act of him towards the person who sold his hat in a negative way:

Around October 2021 news about a Jungkook hat being sold on a кσяєαn second-hand trading platform for 10 million KRW quickly attracted attention. In particular, the hat was taken with a photograph of the official employee ID certificate" issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to prove the origin of the hat.

According to the seller, the hat was picked up by him after Jungkook made a private visit to the Pαssport Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to obtain a pαssport while accompanying President Moon to the United Nations. Since he did not receive any calls or visits for the next 6 months to get the hat back, he has became the owner of the ŀöṩẗ item, i.e. the hat. And he took advantage of Jungkook's reputation to resell it for 10 million KRW – a ridiculously high price.

However, as a result of a ṗöŀïċệ check, there were no reports of any loss of items αssociated with the hat, and as controversy spread, ṗöŀïċệ and the State Department looked into the case, and Mr. A deleted the post and "resigned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs". Since then, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul has embarked on an investigation and clarified the incident through specific allegations. Most recently, on August 7, 2023, the Seocho Police Station in Seoul said, "We have completed all investigations against Mr. A, a former employee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs."

During the ṗöŀïċệ investigation, "A" admitted to all charges. A also no longer works at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The ṗöŀïċệ also announced that the investigation of "A" had been completed and the trial was underway.

Although Jungkook's side is not the one to sue A in this case, A is still responsible for abusing his position of power for his own gain. When being consulted about the decision to punish A, Jungkook's representative expressed Jungkook's wish that he did not want A to be punished. Therefore, the ṗöŀïċệ transferred the case to the prosecutor's office.

Recently, after pαssing the Citizens Prosecution Committee, the prosecutor decided to initiate a simple prosecution (fine or restitution, not imprisonment) against A. The majority of those participating in the Prosecution Committee citizens have expressed the opinion that a simple prosecution is appropriate.

The prosecutor's office is expected to return the hat to the victim, Jungkook. The hat is expected to be returned to Jungkook through the management company.

It can be seen that even though A tried to steal Jungkook's hat, knowing that it was his hat but had no intention of returning it, Jungkook still forgave the wrongdoing. He really has a kind heart and a good heart even though the person's original intentions were not good.
