When the boundary between admiration and possession becomes blurred, idols are no longer figures to be respected but instead turn into targets of violation.

The singer once ѕнσ¢кed fellow artists and the public alike when he revealed horrifying memories of being stalked by obsessive fans. He shared that there was a period in his career when someone would come to his home every night and repeatedly press the door’s pαѕѕcode button. Even more disturbingly, he was once subjected to a break-in all the way into his bedroom, where the intruder kissed him while he slept. Although the perpetrators were eventually arrested by the ρσℓι¢є, their twisted motives and relentless obsession left psychological scars that could never fully heal.

What once seemed like a dark chapter confined to the memories of an earlier generation of idols has, in reality, never disappeared. On the contrary, the sasaeng fan problem has become increasingly alarming in recent times—especially in light of what Jungkook has endured over the past half year. After completing his military service, it appeared that the idol would finally enjoy a better quality of life upon moving into a newly completed, secluded residence. Instead, it marked the beginning of a living nightmare, as he became the target of severe harαѕѕment within his own home.

Within just seven months, at least four women from different countries were arrested for stalking and illegally trespαѕѕing in the vicinity of Jungkook’s private residence. In June 2025, on the very day he enlisted, a Chinese woman carrying a suitcase stood outside his gate from early morning, repeatedly attempting to enter the pαѕѕcode to break in. From December 2025 to January 2026, a вяαzιℓian woman was repeatedly caught engaging in similar behavior, throwing letters, handwritten notes, and gifts over the gate at least four times. Even after being arrested and warned by ρσℓι¢є to stay away from the area, she returned just four days later and continued her actions until she was arrested again on January 4.

All of these cases are currently under ρσℓι¢є control, with some offenders having already faced legal punishment, including deportation from South кσяєα. Jungkook’s representatives are reportedly seeking restraining orders against all involved individuals, while local authorities have strengthened security around his residence following the incidents.

However, the most terrifying aspect lies in the continuity of these actions. Each subsequent offender appeared unfazed by the consequences faced by those before them, creating a relentless cycle of harαѕѕment that persisted for seven consecutive months. Clearly, the penalties imposed seem insufficient against the pathological obsession of sasaeng fans, leaving Jungkook to live in constant anxiety within his own home.

Beyond physical stalking, Jungkook has also been subjected to severe online harαѕѕment. The situation peaked late last year when unverified dating rumors became an excuse for malicious actors to attack and defame his reputation and character—so extensively that numerous кσяєαn media outlets reported on it. Protest trucks carrying negative messages were even sent to HYBE’s headquarters, demanding that he be excluded from the group’s 2026 comeback or removed from the group altogether.

While Jungkook has consistently shown unconditional love toward ARMY, he has been forced to endure profound harm from individuals acting in the name of being “fans.” Perhaps it is time for fans to reflect: true love does not make the person you love feel afraid.
