Jin has recently officially returned to Kpop by releasing a new solo album after 1 year and 6 months of military service. He is also the 7th member of BTS to complete the solo album release in chapter 2 of the group's career.
It can be said that BTS members have gone through many memorable milestones together in the journey of more than 1 decade. Not stopping there, Jin shared that he wants the members to do this even when they get married and grow old.
On the new KBS Kpop program, Jin mentioned BTS's future plans:
BTS was formed in 2010 in кσяєα and officially debuted in 2013 by Big Hit Entertainment. During the first 10 years of their career, the 7 members were active as a group. It was not until early 2023 that the military enlistment plan made BTS promote the members' individual activities.
But no matter which member, their purpose when doing individual activities is still to maintain the group's reputation as well as contribute to the group, rather than themselves. As the first member to enlist and also the last member of BTS to end the release of a solo album during this time, Jin is no exception.
Recently, he appeared as a guest on KBS KPOP's Youtube program 'Leemujin Service'. Here, he shared the vision and plan that he and the BTS members agreed on for the next 10, 20, 30 years. Jin's sharing made the speculation about BTS not being able to maintain group activities after being discharged from the army disappear.
Specifically, MC Lee Mu Jin mentioned that BTS is in its 12th year after debut and he wanted to know what Jin's goals are. He asked: "Now, you're well into your 12th year since debut. What would you like to be doing 12 years from now?"
In response to the MC's question, Jin revealed that not only he but the members of the group have discussed BTS's roadmap for many years to come, even after they get married. Jin confided: "The members and I talk this often. We'd like to be on stage until we can't move. We'll each have our life but we'll also go on stage together. And if we have our own family, we can bring them and go perform together. We're talking about 10, 20, 30 years from now. I want to be on stage when I'm 50".
Jin's statement obviously confirmed that BTS will reunite when the 7 members complete their military service in June 2025. He also showed how strong BTS's will to continue their group activities is when they are willing to perform in front of fans even when they have their own families. This reminds me of RM saying that they will still be "Bangtan" when they become "papa" in an old interview.
In Beyond The Story, BTS's leader also mentioned that the members want to achieve the ideal image of an idol group even when they are in their thirties and at the same time, they want to do their own work as solo artists. BTS wants to open their next chapter in a special way!
When Jin shared his and BTS's wishes, fans were moved and also pledged to love the group even after marriage:
- do you all realize the degree of 'forever' when they say apobanpo!!?
- plenty of opportunities to see them. I’m def not crying
- Our forever artists, we will be your forever army
- I feel this is soмєтнing where we need to listen to what is being said. In multiple directions. I do often feel people are caught in a time warp of the past rather than thinking of them as grown men.
- Hearing him talk about them all touring with families is making me so soft
- my seven will always be seven in my heart, i promise
- I’ll be with you For the rest of my life
- i do want to admire u guys for a long time, tell my kids a story of 7 amazing man
