Jin Speaks Up About The Professionalism Culture Between BTS Members

People have always wondered how BTS can maintain a united group after more than a decade in the entertainment industry. Jin almost gave the answer to this question in the latest episode of Since Those Days.

In the episode, Jin not only shared honestly about the life of an idol but also pointed out how BTS maintains their unity when working together. Through what Jin shared, fans admired the professionalism of the group members even more.

Here is what Jin shared about himself and BTS in relation to the idol profession:

An episode of Since Those Days, hosted by נαραиese singer/actor Aiba Masaki with BTS's Jin as a guest, has recently attracted the attention of netizens. The episode was not only a reunion between Jin and Aiba after their first meeting earlier this year, but also an in-depth conversation about life and experience as a K-pop idol.

During the episode, Jin took Aiba on a tour of Seoul and even BTS-related spaces in the HYBE building, including the members' lounge and their dance practice room. He shared anecdotes from his time in BTS, revealing that he often cooked for the members in the early days. Later, Jin himself personally prepared a meal for Aiba.

As they sat down to share food, Jin impressed fans with his mature and professional perspective. He shared the importance of respect in idol culture and said that it is the key to maintaining a close relationship as a group. He explained that although they are very close, the dynamics of being part of a professional team require a certain level of respect and understanding.

He said: "You have to respect your members. But to truly show respect, I believe it’s essential for everyone to clearly understand that we’re not just friends, but colleagues working together. It’s not the kind of dynamic where, like friends, if you get upset, you refuse to help each other.".

Jin also explained that regardless of any personal misunderstandings or hurts, maintaining professionalism is crucial to their success as a group. "Since we’re working together, even if there are situations where personal feelings get hurt, the most important thing is to stay professional and focus on the work", Jin added.

Fans admire his and the BTS members' realistic and positive approach to overcoming challenges in their friendship and work. The balance between camaraderie and professionalism as the key to the group's success and harmony that Jin mentioned was also appreciated.

Not only that, Jin also mentioned how often the members have been together over the past 10 years. He responded to Aiba’s question about whether BTS members spend more time together than with their families: "That’s been the case for a long time now. We see each other almost every day. If you take out the 6 or so hours we spend sleeping, we were together almost 15 hours a day. That was how it was for about 10 years."

But even when BTS is on hiatus due to military service, the members of the group still keep in touch with each other regularly. Jin once shared humorously how their group chat was filled with military-related messages, to the point that he and j-hope had to avoid it since they were discharged.

It’s clear that BTS’s relationship is a balance of close friendship and professionalism among co-workers:

- Very true, they are both, work colleagues and friends.... Who have experienced, the hard times, growing into men, the good and the bad side, of show business.... Yet, their pαѕѕion shines through, and they have each other's back.... Army

- Okay for certain people who don't understand yeah, lemme break it down for you cause I feel like some y'all need some lessons rn Staying professional - means not allowing certain emotions, feelings or things to affect work.

- The mutual respect and admiration they have for both their groups

- Respect. And being professional, not letting personal feelings affect your job. I guess many conditioned fans are upset he didn’t say: “I am in the band to take care of my amazing six little (cause I am an ajussi, you know) brothers till I am 60” they expect from him? Aww

- I think members of both groups would understand and relate to each other better than anyone else, the struggles and the effort that it took to stay together for as long as they did. All while being the top idol group of their respective countries.

- One of many things I love and respect abt BTS is how smart, mature and professional they are. If only one of them wasn't this smart, the group wouldn't be so successful.

- this is the professionalism i admire so much about jin and the other members. they're colleagues when working together and friends when they need one another. that's how it should be. jin couldn't have said it better. i admire their bond so much.
