The story of BTS's pursuit of passion must be no stranger to Kpop fans. To achieve the current success, all 7 members had to go through many difficulties. Each person has a different background and starting point, but they all have the same goal of pursuing art.
Everyone knows that in the past, Jin's starting point was not related to music or dancing, but to his passion for acting. Therefore, he has even more difficulty than the other members when he does not have a basic background in music.
But so far, Jin is still proud that he made the right decision to choose BTS instead of choosing the acting dream he's been pursuing for years.
Among the BTS members, Jin is the only one with an acting career orientation from the beginning. He studied Acting at Konkuk University and was well trained.
Jin also has many friends in the current professional actor world from his school days such as Go Kyung Pyo, Lee Yi Kyung or Lee Won Geun, and they all appreciate his ability. With his movie actor face as well as his good charisma, Jin can completely become a famous actor in the world.
Many celebrities praised his acting even later when he became a part of BTS, such as director Lee Kyungkyu who added Jin to the famous Gyu-line. He also commented that Jin is his favorite male idol thanks to his amazing eye acting ability.
However, in the end Jin's choice was BTS, and up to now he has not officially acted in any movies but has always focused on his music career with the group. It can be said that when choosing to become an important part of BTS, Jin's life changed.
Even this once made Jin confess that the change and decision was something he never regretted. Specifically, during a conversation with SUGA, Jin had the opportunity to open up about past events.
Jin and SUGA talked about their past and future life choices and what they hope to do if they don't become idols. While Jin said that SUGA would be successful in whatever he did, SUGA also believed that Jin would become an actor if he wanted to.
But Jin answered firmly, “Maybe not,” He continued, “My life changed after I met you guys. I used to just live my life by going with the flow. That’s why who you surround yourself with is so important.”
Jin also revealed that if he had chosen to be an actor, he might or might not have achieved what he is now. But being a member of BTS and seeing his hyungs work hard, it gave Jin the motivation to work and that's why he got the results he is today.
He said: "You’re always all so hardworking. I watch and learn from you guys to work harder."
Jin also believes he could have turned into a different person, maybe not what he is now if he became a solo actor. Jin talked about how without BTS he wouldn't have as much motivation to help him overcome all the difficulties as when he was with BTS. And that's why BTS became such an important part of his life.
Jin said with sincerity, "But if I became an actor, I may not have been responsible because I’d be alone. I might not even have worked hard."
When SUGA said that he doesn't always work hard, Jin pointed out that whenever a BTS member rests, there is always another member working. The way they grow together is healthy and they inspire each other to be the best versions of themselves.
After the hardships in the past, to become as famous and successful as today, BTS has always accompanied with faith and perseverance. The way the 7 people understand each other and care for each other a lot in each stage of their career makes their footsteps more solid day by day.
BTS's close bond with ARMY is the catalyst that makes the lives of not only BTS but all of us change because of them. And the way we have passed is what we do not regret!
