BTS currently has a lot of solo projects that we don't know about. So all possibilities are possible when there is any hint of them.
Recently, after Jin's appearance at the VIP movie premiere of Emergency Declaration has made ARMYs even more expecting Jin to have a professional acting debut!
In addition to possessing good vocal ability and being a vocalist of BTS, Jin also has a talent in acting. He ever applied Konkuk University with a Major in Acting with 2,012 other applicants with a quota (the # of students they’re accepting) of 10 students only. He passed along with 100 other applicants.
After years of professional training, Jin graduated from Konkuk University in February 2017 with a bachelor's degree in Arts & Acting. Even then, he continued his studies at Hanyang Cyber University and majored in Film for a master's degree.
In the past few years, although he has not pursued an acting career, Jin still gives BTS scenes like cinematic footage. Not only that, but he also proved his acting ability through BTS WORLD.
However, ARMYs have not given up hope. They still want Jin to star in the K-Drama. This includes actor Simon Pegg: "Jin studied acting, and I think he’d be very good, right? So, let’s hope we see him acting at some point."
Besides, a close friend and the one who invited Jin to the VIP movie premiere - actor Kim Nam Gil also mentioned his acting. In an interview with Cosmopolitan Korea, the actor once mentioned that he worked with Jin on a project. He said: "I have worked with younger people like BTS Jin, [ASTRO’s] Cha Eunwoo, and [Girls’ Generation’s] Seohyun, but it seems I have difficulties communicating with them."
Immediately after Jin's attendance at the movie premiere was revealed, the phrases "ACTOR JIN" and "Actor Jin is coming" became worldwide trends on Twitter. Fans are even more excited to recall this connection. This phrase even comes with doubts as to whether Jin will appear as a cameo in Emergency Declaration or not?
With "ACTOR JIN" trending recently, Jin has certainly seen it. So he went to Weverse after the premiere to update ARMYs. Jin confirmed that he didn't actually appear in the Emergency Statement however he emphasized that he is working hard on his "main job". He also asked ARMYs to "wait a little bit", hoping that he can get into acting soon.
He wrote that: "I enjoyed watching the movie! Although I didn’t make an appearance [in the movie], thank you so much to all our ARMYs who came to cheer me on. Because of you I think I was able to loosen up a bit. ARMY I love you" and "I’m working hard preparing with my main job as well so everyone, please just wait a little bit~ (cutely)"
Previously, Jin updated Weverse last week with a photo of himself in the recording studio. So it looks like he is currently preparing for his solo album just like the other members. Even so, ARMYs are still looking forward to him being able to "try acting".
