BTS has been recognized by industry experts, some of the world’s top celebrities, major media outlets, and the general public as the most successful K-pop group of all time. Simply saying they are “popular” isn’t enough to capture the full extent of their impact. They have reshaped K-pop’s dominance and shaken the global music market.
Because of that, during the nearly three years BTS temporarily halted group activities due to military service, the impact extended not only to them and HYBE but also to the K-pop industry as a whole, which fell into a period of stagnation and decline. What everyone longed for more than ever was the return of the “Kings of K-pop,” with hopes that their comeback could revive the market and reignite global interest in K-pop.

As the end of 2025 approaches, anticipation has only grown, especially after BTS promised in early July that they would reunite as a full group in spring 2026. In nearly every Weverse Live conversation between members and fans—and in interviews ranging from the CEO to each artist—the topic of BTS’s return has been at the center.
In the newly released interview between SPUR and Jin on the morning of November 21, the discussion inevitably touched on this major topic. SPUR referred to “BTS’ full-group comeback next spring” as “a moment that can be called ‘the return of the kings,’ anticipated not only by fans but by the entire world,” and asked Jin to “give a little hint.”
Notably, Jin not only heightened fans’ excitement by teasing the new album, but also shared his genuine emotions when hearing the songs for the first time. Before flying to the U.S. to reunite with the BTS members for album production, Jin had been carrying out his global solo tour. He was the last member to join the group’s songwriting camp in Los Angeles. This situation further intensified the emotions he felt when listening to the new music the members had created during his absence.
Jin recalled: “While the members were working on producing the new songs in αмєяι¢α, I joined them a little later because of my solo tour. Listening to the songs they had created during the time I was away, I was deeply moved by their level of completion and artistic quality. When I reunited with the members and heard their music, I once again strongly felt, ‘These people are truly remarkable.’”

Although Jin didn’t explicitly describe how impressive the new songs were, his emotions alone gave fans the sense that the upcoming album is “very good” and “extremely worth looking forward to.” His words have further fueled the growing excitement among fans and the general public for BTS’s comeback next spring. Some notable comments after the interview was released included:
- AND SO YOU ARE JINNIE WE ARE SO READY FOR THE ALBUM KINGS!!!!
- OMG Jin, I am so excited for the new album!!!!
- I need to hear it already. I want behind the scenes of how Jin reacting to the songs
- all the crown/king references oooooooh bts is really making that return of the king theme for their comeback and it’s gonna be so good
- You are remarkable as well, jin! All 7 of you actually. ofcourse, we know you contributed too but you're just humble to admit it. Can't wait for the album. Can't wait for BTS to comeback and sweep everything.
- These people are truly remarkable. They will always do me good and make me happy for the rest of my life because I get to live in the same era as them
- Excitement is not enough of a word for what I feel right now
Jin isn’t the only one who has shared updates—many BTS members revealed in their livestreams that album production has been going smoothly. In late October and early November, they announced that recording had been completed and they were moving into the choreography practice stage.
RM, in a recent stream, also offered similar praise for the new album, saying: “The music is coming out well. I think it's good. While we were making it, I had a lot of worries, but as we wrap things up, I think it's evolving in a new direction. The two months we spent in LA were worthwhile.” He added, “The new song is great. I'm not sure what you guys were expecting, but I love the new album. We're doing great here.”
More generously than Jin, RM provided an additional hint: “The new album has a variety of genres and genres that we haven't tried before. I think you can look forward to it.” But instead of satisfying fans’ curiosity, this only made them even more anxious because they simply can’t wait any longer.

Meanwhile, in an interview with Music Business World, Big Hit Music CEO Seon Jeong Shin revealed the main goal BTS and the company are aiming for with this highly significant comeback. She said: “The biggest challenge is ensuring that, as always, BTS’ music carries the authenticity and meaning that transcend time and generations. BTS are not just global stars; they are 21st century pop icons who have shared their experiences and emotions through music, creating empathy that bridges cultures and generations.
The key lies in how sincerely their next chapter is conveyed as they come together once again to complete their shared narrative. This moment also represents a tremendous opportunity — a chance for BTS to musically reconnect with their fans while building on the legacy they’ve created.”
