After finishing the second night of his concert in Tampa (USA) as part of his solo tour “RunSeokjin Ep Tour,” Jin greeted fans with a live broadcast on Weverse Live – where he showed off his sкιℓℓs making mulhwe (물회), his favorite dish that helps him “regain his appetite” during recent days of feeling uninterested in food.

The moment Jin started mixing mulhwe immediately caught the attention of BTS members Jimin and j-hope, who happened to see the broadcast and didn’t hesitate to join in the comments. From there, the already warm atmosphere of the live became even more lively and joyful thanks to the affectionate interaction between the members.

Mulhwe is a traditional кσяєαn dish, a cold soup made with fresh seafood such as fish, octopus, or clams, mixed with a tangy and spicy chilled broth made from vinegar, chili powder, garlic, ice water, and vegetables. It is a popular dish during summer in кσяєα and is often used to cool down or stimulate the appetite.

This delicious dish was exactly what Jin needed at that moment, even when the staff told him: “There was no mulhwe in the US.” However, “I asked them for ingre∂ιєnts so I can make it myself,” he insisted on eating it no matter what.

Just by looking at how Jin enjoyed the dish, one could understand why he went through the trouble of making it despite the lack of ingre∂ιєnts. Even BTS members like Jimin and j-hope had to acknowledge his great love for this food.

In fact, Jimin υиєχρє¢тє∂ly left a comment: “You really love mulhwe, I packed it and brought it to military base for you,” recalling that Jin had once asked him to bring some because he craved it so much during his months in the military when he couldn’t eat it.

Jimin’s comment brought back memories for Jin from that time. He couldn’t forget how touched he had felt and expressed his gratitude: “Ah Jimin, you don't know how grateful I was that you packed mulhwe for me to the base. I will not forget your kindness for life.”

On the other hand, he also expressed regret for not being able to do the same for his younger brother: “I'm sincerely sorry that I couldn't visit you at your base.” But Jimin quickly comforted Jin, explaining that his base at the time was too far away, so it was completely understandable he couldn’t visit: “It's okay, it's too far.”

Not letting the conversation become too emotional, Jin immediately “switched moods” with a light joke that made the atmosphere more relaxed: “But you told me not to come, so we are same same (fair). Thank you Jimin-ah, I will never forget your kindness.”

Previously, around March 2023, Jimin had shared a photo of himself together with j-hope and Jin at the Yeoncheon military base – where BTS’s eldest member was stationed. The photo of the visit by the two BTS members received over 12 million “likes,” leaving ARMYs deeply touched by the bond between the BTS members.

Jimin also revealed: “He told me that he wanted to eat mulhwe. I felt good because he ate better than I thought. He has gotten stronger. His face is the same as before, but his body has gotten stronger. I thought he adjusted well.”

Now, mulhwe is not only Jin’s favorite dish but also a container of precious memories from his time in the military. This story allows fans to feel even more clearly the deep brotherhood between BTS members. Even during their time apart due to enlistment, they still care for and support each other in small but meaningful ways.
