As all ARMYs and Jimin expected, he finally hít the top of the Billboard charts this week. This is a huge achievement for a solo K-pop artist like Jimin and somєthing to be congratulated on indeed.

Jimin seems to be bursting with happiness because of this great achievement of his first solo album but besides that, he feels even happier when he receives recognition from his father. Previously when the new song came out, Jimin's father used to feel sad about his new song but now he has a different attitude towards its üńệẍṗệċẗệď success.

Jimin shared his father's story while receiving his call shortly after receiving his first Billboard #1 of his solo career:

On April 3 (US time), Jimin's solo album title track 'Like Crazy' became the first K-pop song by a solo artist to top the US Billboard charts. Jimin's Like Crazy took first place in the top 10 songs of this week's singles chart announced by Billboard on the official Twitter.

Like Crazy is the title track of Jimin's first official solo album - FACE. The song recorded 254,000 sales, including downloads and CD singles, between the 24th and 30th of the previous month. Streams reached 10 million times and radio listeners reached 64,000.

Notably, Jimin is the first ̾k̾o̾r̾e̾an solo singer to top Billboard's main singles chart 'Hot 100'. He is the first artist to win No.1 Billboard both as a solo artist and as a K-pop group. Before that, BTS was the only K-pop singer to top the Hot 100.

This time, Jimin beat out Miley Cyrus's 'Flowers', country singer Morgan Wallen's 'Last Night' and SZA's 'Kill Bill' for first place. Starting with 'Dynamite' in 2020, BTS has had six top #1 'Hot 100' songs to date and one that includes Jimin's solo song.

Meanwhile, 'Like Crazy' also ranked 8th in the official UK singles chart 'Top 100', considered one of the two biggest charts in the world along with Billboard. With these achievements, Jimin seems to have been surprised by the success he achieved. He quickly posted to Weverse sharing with fans of his surprise.

Not only that, just minutes after the announcement of the Billboard results, Jimin did a short live broadcast where he could share his joy with his fans. Jimin thanked fans for supporting and contributing to the success of his solo.

Besides, Jimin also shared a sweet story between his father and him during the live broadcast. He said that a few minutes before the live broadcast, his father called him to congratulate him when he heard about Jimin's high achievement in music. His father feels very proud of what he has done.

However, behind that praise, Jimin also choked up when he recalled the first time his dad heard his song. When Like Crazy and the songs from the album FACE were released, Jimin's dad heard them and he couldn't hide his sadness after feeling them.

Specifically, Jimin shared: "My father just called me a while ago and said he's proud of me. When I first made my father listen to the album he said he's sad/upset on listening to it. I don't know, he said the content of the album seemed sad".

Jimin's father must have felt his sadness and most desperate moments in the past expressed through the lyrics of the song. Jimin's father now understands what he was going through but couldn't help him during that time. But fortunately, everything is over and now only good results remain.

Now, in the face of these achievements, Jimin's father's recognition has made him extremely emotional and he must be very happy to have made his parents feel proud of their son. ARMYs also couldn't stop the emotional comments when Jimin shared this:
