After Jin, j-hope and SUGA enlisted, BTS's maknae line including RM, V, Jimin and Jungkook also began mandatory military service in December 2023. Since the graduation ceremony of basic training, fans seemed to have little chance to see the members' current situation.

Most recently, some information about the official military life of the four members was revealed, including the jobs the members undertake after being deployed to the official unit. Among them, Jimin is said to be taken an important position in the artillery unit of the 5th Division.

These days, fans are looking forward to news about Jimin and his military life. Like other BTS members who enlisted in the military, it was difficult for Jimin to interact with fans while he was doing his job as a sol∂ιєr. Even so, on the graduation day of basic training, he wrote a handwritten letter to express his feelings to his fans.

From then until now, it has been 2 months that Jimin has served at his official unit. In some previous sources, fans learned that Jimin and Jungkook were deployed to the artillery unit of division 5 - where BTS's eldest brother Jin is serving as an assistant instructor. While there are only about 80 days left until Jin is discharged from the army, Jimin and Jungkook have about 15 months left.

Passing over the time, many fans wonder what mission Jimin and Jungkook are doing at this unit. Through a letter to fans on March 16, Jungkook revealed that he was working as kitchen ρσℓι¢є in the unit. Fans also realized that he was suitable for this job because he was famous for his unique recipes and cooking ability before.

Meanwhile, there is little news about Jimin so fans can know about his work. However, fans have gathered some information to consider that Jimin is highly likely to be working for the Fire Direction Center. This is based on his excellent performance during the basic training weeks. 

Many people also know that after 5-week military training, Jimin was honoured for his outstanding sкιℓℓs at the graduation ceremony. He also received the title of the best trainee and was honoured with the 'Honour of Exemplary with commendation' by the Chief of Division. Additionally, Jimin αѕѕumed the responsibility of taking the oath on behalf of his fellow trainees during the graduation ceremony.

To be αѕѕigned to the Fire Direction Center, talent for calculation it's needed, having more chances those with a major in maths or physics. Moreover, FDC is known as "the brain of artillery", a unit that performs the important task of leading artillery fire unit, requiring good knowledge in mathematics and physics, as well as good judgment. Therefore, FDC is considered one of the noble positions given in the specialty.

Based on the results of basic training, Jimin is the best candidate for this position. Not only that, Jimin also showed his outstanding ability in mathematics and chemistry when he was a student. Teacher used to call him god of math and he always participated in mathematics and chemistry quiz. He even was a valedictorian and clαѕѕ president for 9 consecutive years. 

In particular, some кσяєαn fans also said that they confirmed this news with Jimin's father when visiting MAGNATE coffee shop. Jimin's father also comforted ARMYs by saying that he was working. very hardworking and integrated into military life these days.
