Jimin Called “Stupid“ by Some Fans at Argentina Concert Just for Being Too Concerned About Their Safety

As some fans may already know, during the opening performance of BTS’s first concert in Argentina on October 21, the group had to briefly pause the show out of concern for the au∂ιєnce’s safety. Jimin and several other members noticed fans in the standing area dancing and swaying vigorously to the beat while standing very close together, making it look as though the crowd was pushing against one another. This raised concerns that such movements could be dangerous, especially for those at the very front.

Jimin even addressed the crowd directly, speaking in a tone that clearly conveyed his concern:“Uh, guys, I love it (here) and I missed you guys a lot too, but if you push each other like that, it could be dangerous for those on the first floor. Whoa, whoa, it's a bit dangerous if you do that, so please don't push each other, then we'd all be able to just enjoy the concert well. You can do that, right? Thank you. I'd be really grateful if you could enjoy this concert safely.”

In another video, Jimin was seen reminding fans near the secondary stage at least once more, asking them not to push one another, urging them to prioritize safety, and using hand gestures to signal that the crowd should stop pressing forward toward the front rows. These actions showed just how genuinely concerned the idol was about the au∂ιєnce’s experience and safety.

However, instead of appreciating Jimin’s concern, some fans—even those attending the concert in person that day—behaved disrespectfully toward him.

Several clips circulating on social media captured au∂ιєnce members shouting words such as “Stupid,” “ι∂ισт,” and “ι∂ισт, this is Argentina” while Jimin was reminding everyone to be careful. These individuals reportedly believed the idol was overreacting because the crowd’s movements were actually part of Argentina’s concert culture, where pogo dancing and mosh pits are common. From their perspective, Jimin simply did not understand the local culture and was worrying unnecessarily.

Specifically, during the “IDOL” performance, as the members moved around the pitch, a water bottle was thrown toward Jimin, narrowly мιѕѕιиg his face. Although briefly ѕтαятℓє∂, he quickly regained his composure, while a nearby security guard promptly removed the bottle to prevent anyone from tripping over it. Some fans believe the incident was not simply an α¢¢ι∂єит but may have been intentional.

Calling it part of Argentina’s concert culture cannot justify treating Jimin poorly or mocking his genuine concern for the au∂ιєnce’s safety.

More importantly, some ARMY were reportedly taken out of the crowd to receive medical attention after being squeezed and crushed by the pressure. Fans who attended the concert firsthand also shared their experiences, with one describing it as “an intense experience being barricade like that” and saying “the pushing was brutal.” Fortunately, Jimin’s repeated reminders—at least twice—helped ease the situation. His concern was never unnecessary, nor did it deserve to be dismissed with the word “idiot” by disrespectful au∂ιєnce members.

One fan expressed their views, writing: “With all due respect, no one cares about how y’all enjoy a concert if it means making BTS uncomfortable and watching people get crushed. When the members are on stage visibly stressed and asking you to stop pushing, your ‘concert culture’ doesn’t supersede basic respect and safety.”

Another fan was equally outraged: "Saying “Idiot, this is Argentina” while Jimin is literally worried about people’s safety, and then throwing a bottle at him during IDOL? You guys are embarrαѕѕing. He was only trying to make sure everyone was safe, and this is how you treat him? There’s absolutely no excuse for that kind of disrespect. Learn to respect the artists you claim to support. Oh I forgot majority of this fandom is not real OT7".

Other fans expressed similar anger, saying: "Clearly a lot of them do not care about hurting people. Jimin's too kind with these ppl", "Mosh pits are not a cultural identity. They don’t belong in Kpop", "Imagine calling someone an idiot for trying to prevent a crowd crush. The only idiot here is the person who shouted it", "Jimin was protecting YOUR safety. Show some d*mn respect!!", "Imagine Jimin showing education, empathy, and love for the fans, and they call him an idiot. Such pathetic ppl", "This is not fan behavior. Their life must be so sad. To hate him like that",...
