'2022 MAMA AWARDS' held at Kyocera Dome Osaka, Japan ended with great prizes for BTS. MAMA 2022 once again affirms the dignity and influence of BTS during the past year.

As the only member of BTS to attend this year's awards ceremony, j-hope really swept the red carpet as well as the stage of MAMA. However, in contrast to his confidence and charismatic performance, j-hope also had a lot of anxiety when he attended MAMA alone in Japan for the first time.

During the livestream right after the awards ceremony, j-hope shared this with his fans:

On this day, BTS received 3 major awards of MAMA including Worldwide Icon of The Year, Album of the Year and Artist of the Year. In addition, they also swept many other awards, including under the name of the group or the names of individual members.

In particular, BTS also received MAMA Platinum, an award for: "The one and only artist who created a global cultural phenomenon beyond K-pop, marking a breakthrough in pop culture of the 21st century". Before these honors, j-hope was the one who received all the awards and delivered a meaningful speech in each award.

j-hope also shared, "For BTS, 2022 is a year where seven adults have experienced growing pains. We tried to figure out the best way in that situation,” he said. “All members are looking at themselves and developing according to their individual needs. Please support their future steps."

Not only that, after the awards ceremony, j-hope also took the time to do a livestream with ARMYs on Weverse Live to thank them once again for their support. At an intimate livestream with ARMYs, j-hope first expressed his confusion when appearing at this year's MAMA.

j-hope did not hesitate to express his anxiety and loneliness when attending the awards ceremony alone because of the group's current force majeure situation. He mentioned that because when he did everything alone, he couldn't focus on anything in particular because there was so much to do.

Specifically, j-hope said: “Seeing I’m alone, I realized theres so much I have to check and keep in mind. and also paying attention to those things, I couldn’t focus on the performance as much. And I tried not to be nervous so much because I can’t perform as well if I”m nervous. So I was dancing before to relax my nerves.”

Because BTS has always been together for the past 10 years, they support each other whenever needed. But now, when the members do solo activities, there are things they have to do alone and only receive the support of the rest of the members from afar. Perhaps, anyone can understand the mood of j-hope.

Not only that, but j-hope also recalled Jimin coming to cheer him on at Lallapalooza. And he was touched that thanks to Jimin's appearance, his first debut stage was a success.
