In December last year, j-hope revealed during a live broadcast that he was raising two cats. The sudden revelation was not entirely surprising, as fans had already noticed several suspicious clues suggesting that j-hope had cats, including cat sounds heard during some of his broadcasts, cat paw prints appearing in photos, and cat-related icons attached to some of his Instagram Stories.

However, what surprised fans even more was when j-hope revealed the difficult circumstances of his two cats: one was a rescue cat, while the other had been abandoned.

He explained: “Before going to the military, I had a film shoot and I went to the set and there were so many tiny kittens there. There was a kitten who had an eye that looked half, how do I say this, a bit necrotic. And it made me so sad. I felt I needed to get it treated. So I rescued that cat and brought it to a hospital.”

As for the other cat, j-hope shared: “The other cat was a very beautiful cat that had been abandoned, and it was so sad that it couldn’t find a good home, so I brought it home myself.”

At the time, fans could not contain their emotions, expressing deep admiration for j-hope’s compαѕѕion toward abandoned animals. Naturally, from that moment on, the appearances of his two mysterious “babies” became one of the things fans were most curious about. However, j-hope once said: “Actually, I wanted to show you naturally. I thought it wasn’t right to say, ‘Here are my cats!’” Since then, the idol has remained constantly busy with his personal schedules and World Tour, leaving ARMYs without an official chance to see the two cats.

But it seems fans may finally be able to get a glimpse of what one of them looks like — α¢¢ι∂єитally revealed through none other than j-hope’s mother!

In j-hope’s sister Jiwoo’s latest vlog, filmed during her visit home, she gave fans a rare glimpse into her mother’s pαѕѕion for painting. j-hope’s mother is clearly very pαѕѕionate about art, with a dedicated space for painting filled with various art supplies and displayed works. Most notably, fans got to see several portraits she had painted. Alongside a completed portrait of Mickey and an unfinished portrait of j-hope, fans also spotted a completed pencil portrait of a cat.

Given that j-hope’s mother has a habit of painting Mickey, the family’s pet, as well as her children, fans believe that this could be a portrait of one of the two mysterious pets j-hope is raising. Meanwhile, in a photo taken while j-hope was on tour in Brussels, Belgium, he was seen intently taking a picture of a stray cat on the street that had a similar appearance, seemingly resembling the British Shorthair-like cat in his mother’s painting. j-hope’s interest in this cat has only further strengthened fans’ speculation that he may have a similar-looking cat of his own.

After months of waiting, fans may finally have their first clue about what one of j-hope’s two mysterious cats looks like — even though the “main character” has yet to officially make an appearance in public. Naturally, this has left fans excitedly discussing the possibility:
